Today, we will be continuing my “Bluegrass State Standouts” series as we continue to breakdown some of the top rising senior talent in the state. After my last positional breakdown, here’s my list of the top 2024 shooting forwards in Tennessee to watch for this upcoming season.

, a 6-foot-5 shooting forward at Bartlett High School. Alston was one of the most explosive weapons on the Panthers’ roster during his junior stint of high school basketball last year. In addition to excellent size, speed and versatility on both sides of the floor, what stands out about Alston is his solid ball control, smart passing and ability to contribute on the boards. The rising senior out of Bartlett, TN. additionally impressed me with his shooting performance, his physicality in the paint and his consistent rebounding effort both offensively and defensively. After a strong showcase this past season, Alston is definitely an intriguing shooting forward prospect in the state to keep an eye on next season.

, a 6-foot-7 shooting forward at Brentwood High School. Cochran was a huge playmaker for the Bruins during his junior season of high school basketball last year. In addition to impressive size, speed and athleticism on both sides of the court, what stands out about Cochran is his overall explosiveness on the boards and his ability to make smart decisions. The rising senior out of Brentwood, TN. additionally impressed me with his team-centered playstyle, ability to control the ball, pass to open teammates and consistently collect rebounds. After a strong showcase last year, Cochran is definitely an intriguing shooting forward in the Volunteer State to watch more closely this upcoming season.

, a 6-foot-8 shooting forward at Bradley Central High School. In addition to excellent size, speed and athleticism, what stands out about Ary is his explosiveness from around the perimeter and in the paint, showcasing strong ball control, smart passing and accuracy from several different places on the court. The rising senior out of Cleveland, TN. additionally impressed with his physicality underneath the rim and his ability to both guard the basket defensively and pick up rebounds. After an outstanding performance last year, Ary is without question one of the more intriguing shooting forwards in the state of Tennessee to keep an eye on this upcoming season.

, a 6-foot-5 shooting forward at William Blount High School. Windle was a highly explosive weapon for the Governors during his junior stint of high school basketball last year. With outstanding size, speed and physicality on both sides of the court, Windle made significant contributions on the boards and also impressed on the defensive side. The rising senior out of Maryville, TN. additionally made a difference underneath the rim, utilizing his wing span and height to grab rebounds. Another aspect of Windle’s game that impresses is his strong ball control and consistent passing. After a commanding performance last year, Windle is without question one the more productive shooting forward prospects in the state to watch for next season.

, a 6-foot-6 shooting forward at Hendersonville High School. Gill was a highly explosive weapon for the Commandos during his junior stint of high school basketball last year. In addition to excellent size, speed and versatility on both sides of the court, what stands out about Gill is his strong ball control, smart passing and pin-point accurate shooting. Gill also impressed with his ability to muscle past defenders with his footwork and drive to the rim. The rising senior out of Hendersonville, TN. has an impressive wing span and utilized his physicality down low last season, making a solid rebounding effort as well as defensive stops that made a difference. After an outstanding year, Gill is definitely an intriguing shooting forward prospect in the Volunteer State to keep an eye on this upcoming season.
