Commitment day

Marcus Gray, P7 Elite 17U: Gray committed to Grand Valley State University on Sunday. I talked to the rising senior via Twitter about his commitment. Gray had great things to say about his pledge to the program.

“Really, it was the perfect fit for me and my play style,” Gray said. “The program welcomed me with open arms and they have many resources as well. The main reason why is because of the head coach Cornell Mann. Coach Corn was the head assistant at Missouri and Iowa State. He has developed 10-plus NBA players and dozens of overseas players. He made me feel welcome to Grand Valley State.”

Gray is also expected to play at both guard spots once his high school basketball career is over. He has shown his ability to make shots from the perimeter, take his defender off the dribble, push the basketball in transition, and make the right reads. Gray doesn't do anything spectacular. He just plays the game the right way.
