We are going to shine a spotlight on several prospects that made headlines this week. Earlier in the week, Spence continued his solid play in Las Vegas. Spence did well in the paint and was able to play aggressive on both ends of the court. In the Arkansas Hawks victory over CGE Elite, Spence recorded a double-double. Spence poured in 16 points and 10 rebounds in the 79-45 victory for the Hawks. Spence is setting the stage for a big 2023 season for Vilonia this season.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2021778' first='Terrion' last='Burgess']-Small Forward-Benton-6'9”-2025</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Burgess has done an excellent job of stuffing the stat sheet on the club circuit this summer. Burgess did not disappoint in Las Vegas earlier in the week. He continues to work on his inside game and is working in the paint in impressive fashion. Burgess has no problem battling for rebounds and playing tough defense. Meanwhile, he continues to hit shots from everywhere on the court. Burgess is another prospect that has the potential to light it up in high school ball this fall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1991217' first='Annor' last='Boateng']-Combo Guard-Little Rock Central-6'5”-2024</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='1991217' first='Annor' last='Boateng'] continues to open plenty of eyes this summer. He has had a tremendous summer on the club circuit and will be playing at the collegiate level next fall and winter. Boateng continues to showcase a smooth jump shot. He drives the lane and finishes well at the rim while being fouled. Culberson does a good job of handling the basketball and spreading it around to his teammates. He is not afraid to drive the lane and absorb the contact. Culberson is a guard that can get the points in bunches when he is connecting. On the defensive end of the court, Culberson is a guard that does a great job of harassing the dribbler. Culberson is a prospect that is on the rise and will have a big season with Little Rock Central.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2021913' first='Shep' last='Newcomb']-Point Guard-Ozark Catholic-5'10”-2026</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Ozark Catholic point guard [player_tooltip player_id='2021913' first='Shep' last='Newcomb'] does not shy away from putting in the work on the hardwood. Over the past few weeks, has spent plenty of time in the lab working on his game. Newcomb is already an accurate shooter from all areas of the court. However, over the dead period, Newcomb continued to work on his three-point jumper. Newcomb is a prospect to keep an eye on this upcoming season. He has the potential to light up opposing teams this fall.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
