Aidan Altona Aidan Altona 6'3" | SG Denfeld | 2024 MN of Starks Elite (6’2 wing, 2024, Duluth Denfeld). I love Aidan’s activity. On a team that really has three guys take the majority of their shots we consistently see Aidan contribute every game in a lot of different ways. He can score and Aidan showed that this past winter averaging 18 points a game. But with this team his activity leads to boards (8 last night), active scores (he took two shots last night but made them both!), steals, and a constant push. Altona has a chance to help Denfeld to 20 wins this winter.
Jack Brockman of Minnesota Rise (6’3 wing, 2024, LCWM). There’s a feeling every college coach and scout out there knows and it’s when you are watching a game and all of a sudden somebody does something that has you instantly flipping through the packet for a player’s name. Last night Brockman went at the rim and threw down aggressively in a way that had the wow impact and then did it again later in the game. He had four slashing buckets and is a player to watch closely.
Blake Femrite Blake Femrite 6'2" | PG Spectrum | 2024 State MN of Minnesota Heat Hoyt (6’2 wing, 2024, from Spectrum). Blake is always on the go. That’s how he was described to me by his coach the other day. In watching him play, you see a guy that fights for boards, that loves to push, that has the handle to beat the opposing wing, and a guy that knows how to win the angle attacking the rim for that small window contested score. Last night he was on the go for 39 points against a top seed in the event. Blake is a scorer that is going to have a huge senior year.
Dominick Mueller Dominick Mueller 6'4" | SF Champlin Park | 2024 MN of Northstar Titans (6’4 wing, 2024, from Champlin Park). Mueller was a part JV, part varsity guy last year for the Rebels and after watching him last night I think he could be a nice piece for CP this winter. Mueller wasn’t just a contributor, he was an aggressive scoring option for the Titans scoring his 14 points on 14 attempts while also rebounding well. Good solid player for the Titans that I expect to do the same for the Rebels.
Nathan Schneider Nathan Schneider 6'0" | SG Delano | 2024 State MN of Minnesota Crossfire (6’2 guard, from Delano). As Schneider went against D2 and D1 offered players from South Dakota and was able to find space to get off shots, and was able to score against their college level size, I could not help thinking, this guy is at Delano too? He scored five times last night and went for double figures against one of the best 17u teams out there and I have to believe that potent Delano guard attack is going to use a lot of four guard sets with skill everywhere stretching teams out.
