Continue ReadingThe Florida Gator football-commit is a man-child on the hardwood. Jackson has become a talented straight-line driver, using a long spin move off his defender to cover ground and get to the rim quickly. Amir is a rock-solid rebounder who plays above the rim with ease.
Wilson has worked himself into becoming one of the state’s most productive big men. Wilson is a great athlete. He finishes with highlight dunks and uses his lift to spring up to swat away shots. Blake is a solid outside shooter and is a skilled maneuverer in the pivot.
Akivo provides versatility to the Seckinger frontcourt. He’s a tweener, able to play both inside and out as a combo-forward. Akivo often draws the assignment of guarding the opponent’s biggest player. Walker can create mismatches with his toughness getting to the hoop and ability to pop out and score with his jumper.
D-I schools are starting to pop for Richards. Kennesaw State became Cannon’s second D-I offer this summer, joining Alabama A&M. Richards is incredibly bouncy. He loves to face-up from the block and mid-range, utilize his jab step and shoot the jumper. Richards can also attack with spin moves and finish with posters. Cannon’s elite athleticism allows him to rebound in crowds and protect the rim on defense.
Kawela may look like a physical banger, but he also has a finesse skill game. Caleb has extended his range to the three-point line and will catch opponents off guard with a quick first step. His inside-out game should be on full display this season.
Jones has a quick second leap and is an instinctual shot blocker that can erase attempts up close. Jones has a nice touch from 10-feet and in, able to use a hook shot to score. Markelle finishes with both hands.
Daniels is a true stretch-four. At 6-foot-6, Alden causes issues with his willingness to pop out and nail the three. He has quality foot speed and ball skills. Alden showcased a floater off the dribble. D-III schools will want to check in.
