Trey is a player I discovered for the first time after his stellar play at the Wofford Team Camp in June. Once I found out that his Grassroots Team, Tennessee Impact, would be participating in the Adidas 3SSB Finals at Palmetto Road they were one of the first squads I highlighted on my schedule. Trey is one of the best Perimeter Shooters in the 15U Division, but he showed a little bit more to his game in Rock Hill this week. He went up against some bigger bodies and held his own both on the defensive end and on the glass, and even got some baskets closer to the rim. Ohio University was among the schools who were impressed by Thompson this week, as they offered him on Saturday Evening.
Highlights
There were a lot of really good scoring guards from the 15U Division in Rock Hill this week, but Latrell Kelley Latrell Kelley 5’10” | PG Chi-Prep | 2026 State IL is one that stood out above all in my opinion. He is strong when driving to either hand but is near automatic when pulling up from the mid-range. Kelley is also a great leader on the floor. He is the first to help a teammate up or to offer encouragement after a mistake. Latrell had a great performance against Arkansas Hawks on Friday Morning, finishing with 17 Points.
Reiser is another top-tier scoring guard from the week’s action in Rock Hill. He is extremely shifty with the ball in his hands, yet has great control of his body and of the pace of the game. Reiser isn’t afraid to finish among bigger bodies around the basket but also has a nice looking jump shot. One other thing that existed me about Dash is he will not shy away from taking the big shot. In a Friday Morning Win vs AZ Storm, Dash hit a one-legged floater from 18 feet to send the game to Overtime, where his squad would eventually pull out a win. It took Reiser a couple minutes to get going in that game, but once he did there was no stopping him as he led all scorers with 26 Points.
Of all of the 2026 Prospects in Attendance at the 3SSB Finals at Palmetto Road last week, Caleb Holt Caleb Holt 6’5″ | SG Buckhorn | 2026 State AL is likely the prospect that is the most advance physically, mentally, and in recruiting. While playing up 2 Age Groups with Game Elite 17U, Caleb helped lead his squad to the 3SSB National Championship. In an unexpected blowout win of Team Loaded VA in the Semifinal Game Saturday Night, Holt was terrific. He had a 12 Point 10 Rebound Double-Double in a game that ended early by mercy rule. He currently holds offers from some Top Level D1 Programs including Houston, Alabama, Auburn, and Florida, among others, and will likely see that list grow after his play in Rock Hill this past week.
Barrett will be an interesting prospect to watch develop over the next couple of years. He was both the tallest and strongest player on the AZ Storm Roster, but he has ball skills that are far too advanced to be a traditional big. He can, if needed, score in the paint facing up off a catch but he is at his best playing off the dribble from the perimeter. When Brayden gets a full head of steam, it’s hard to stop him at the rim however he is also a great free throw shooter. In a closely fought matchup with Utah Gold, Brayden took over the offensive load for his team in Overtime scoring 6 of his team’s 8 points in the extra period.
