irritated dribblers with his strong base and effective lateral movement. Capshaw is a strong dude, but his quickness enabled him to get in the way. He ranked #8 overall at the event, perhaps Top 5 on the defensive side.
On-ball he defends well. He could improve away from the basketball defensively. Perhaps he could spend time learning the intricacies of offenses and player tendencies. His feet can move, so becoming a better than average defender is possible.

(Pope Prep) enjoyed a breakout spring/summer with Brad Beal Elite. On top of passing wonderfully the point guard finished in the top 5 in the 15u country in the steals per game category. He elaborated on his defensive planning and technique in this interview, but much of his success is attributed to great feet and a sharp basketball mind.

Way back in May, Cameron Jones Cameron Jones 6'2" | SF Harding Academy | 2024 State TN impressed with fantastic defense. He played low with tenacity. Jones’ devotion was key. Good strength and good form.
Jailyn Shelton (Beech)
Shelton is one of the best defenders in Hendersonville. Great feet. Guards have a really tough time attacking him. It looks exhausting dealing with his defensive stance and effort.

Williams must endure an enormous scoring burden this year. Unfortunately, that will probably cut into his defensive commitment. It seems like it will be awfully taxing on him to score 15+ and defend at the high level he is capable of. Few in Nashville can guard better when he is on.
