I’m going to give you 5 players that saw their stock rise at the Summer Challenge that I think college coaches should have on their radars.
Johnson turned some heads with his play at the Summer Challenge with Meanstreets. It all started on the defensive end with Johnson. His defensive positioning and willingness to battle on that end were essential to his team’ success. Johnson looked very versatile on both ends, hitting the glass hard and also stepping out and showing his 3 point range.

Rakee Shelton
Rakee Shelton
Shelton was one of the better all around athletes that I saw in the 2026 class. He had good hip movement and change of direction abilities. Shelton used this ease of movement to be creative with the ball and a big time factor on the defensive end. Speaking of D, Shelton played it from baseline to baseline attacking the passing lanes.
Tristen Wilcox
Tristen Wilcox
There was a lot to like about Wilcox as a player and prospect. He was able to play with speed over the entire length of the floor. Wilcox showed clear cut blow by ability and made the defense play fast. He was able to get to the rim and finish there with strength. Wilcox saw the floor well, was an accurate passer and was able to find teammates in scoring positions.
O’Connor took his game to a new level at the Summer Classic and that could be a scary thing for opponents in Michigan. He’s always been able to play with that next level speed and aggressiveness, but he really put it together over the weekend. When O’Connor makes good decisions with the ball and picks his opportunities like he did at the Summer Challenge, he’s a next level guard.

Roman Mathieu
Roman Mathieu
Mathieu proved to be a very talented player out of Orlando. Starring for appropriately name Heat team, he turned heads as be brought the heat at the Summer Challenge. Mathieu was athletic and ran the floor well. He has the ability to lead the break as well as fill in a wing and finish.
