16U Las Vegas Standouts

We already know he can run the floor and use his length to alter shots but this past weekend he was showcasing that continued growth in his back to the basket game. He is going over both shoulders and he keeps the ball away from the defender as he is rarely blocked. He was impressive on some spin moves as well as a few lobs he caught. The impressive aspect of his play this weekend was his ability to get back and chase down some blocks. He was looking for cutters, post men and open shooters with precision. He was taking the right drives and he was taking the right shots. Kid plays with great pace and his vision up. He can score from all over including in that mid-range where he has a nice touch. Defensively he is a competitor, as he is working his tail off on that end of the ball. He had a showing where he did not miss a shot as he went 6 for 6 and these are tough buckets against some high level dudes. He is playing hand down-man down basketball. The craziest part of his game is that he will defend with speed and he works hard. He is going to do great at Lone Peak as he is going to be surrounded by some shooters and a big he dump the ball off to. Good speed as he gets pressure and when he learns to work different angles you can believe that he will tap into another level in his game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
