New Names
Isiah Davis | G | 6’2 | Garfield | 2026
He’s got a nice little jumper and did some good things with the ball, using his size and being aggressive getting in between defenders inside. Showed some good vision with his passing too.
Roy Robinson Roy Robinson 5'9" | PG Garfield | 2025 WA | G | 5’9 | Garfield | 2025
He’s not too tall but he does have some length with the reach. He’s quick with the dribble, has a little shake to break guys down, and even made a nice chase-down block off the backboard in transition.
Mason Stinson Mason Stinson 6'1" | CG Cheney | 2026 State WA | G | 6’1 | Cheney | 2026
Stinson is a key sign of Cheney’s improved depth coming into next season. He’s a quick guard with some slashing potential, moves well off the ball, and brings some fight to the defensive end.
Truman Bullington Truman Bullington 6'7" | SF Walla Walla | 2027 State WA | F | 6’5 | Walla Walla | 2027
The freshman is a big kid who did some things at the rim with strength and good footwork. But he also showed potential on the wings with a pretty good-looking shot and the ability to put it on the floor and attack his man. There’s definitely still work to be done to make him a real threat from outside, but the foundation is there and he’s one I’ll be keeping an eye on.
Julian Villanueva Julian Villanueva 5'10" | CG Sunnyside | 2027 WA | G | 5’9 | Sunnyside | 2027
I really liked what I saw from the freshman this weekend. He was assertive, showed good change of pace and body control when attacking the interior, and showed off a pretty smooth jumper. He hit tons of contested finishes, shielded the ball well through traffic, and controlled the pace of the game for the most part.
Roland Garcia Roland Garcia 6'1" | SG Sunnyside | 2024 WA | G | 6’1 | Sunnyside | 2024
Garcia played much bigger than his listed height this weekend. He was constantly flashing to the middle, working inside off the dribble, and exhibiting soft touch around the paint. He also was forced to match up against some bigger guys inside and did a great job working for position and staying solid. He looked decently athletic and if he continues to shoot the way he did, could be a guy to watch next season.
Stock Risers
Carter Ittner Carter Ittner 6'2" | CG Cheney | 2025 State WA | Cheney | 2025
This guy is a really solid guard who can play either position. He has good lower body strength and mixes up his attack between getting to the rim and hitting some outside shots. He’s not a huge scorer but he does enough to be a threat and is most effective in the short to mid-range.
Ryan Avary Ryan Avary 6'4" | SF Rogers (Puyallup) | 2025 State WA | Rogers (Puyallup) | 2025
Avary is a long wing-type player who works hard, is a good athlete, and shows some potential driving the ball inside. I think he’s better off the ball, crashing the glass, and making cuts inside, but he can hit the occasional outside shot too.
Blake Peterson Blake Peterson 6'3" | CG Olympia | 2025 State WA | Olympia | 2025
This guy just looks bigger than the last time I saw him and he has retained those guard skills that make him a good playmaker and secondary scoring threat. He’s capable of handling the ball and orchestrating the offense but also can go inside and get physical when needed.
Max Vermuelen | Liberty (Renton) | 2025
Vermuelen is a solid player that keeps it pretty fundamental offensively. He can spread the floor, attack space, and keep his eyes up for dives and kick-outs. He serves as a reliable backcourt player who can fit into different roles.
Nick Mautone Nick Mautone 6'5" | SF Mercer Island | 2024 State WA | Mercer Island | 2024
Here’s a guy I got to see earlier this summer and he’s continued to showcase strong play, passing the ball, using the dribble to get places and move the defense, as well as sprinkling in some scoring inside and out. He doesn’t play a fast game but does a great job surveying the floor, taking what the defense gives him, and making plays with his eyes and IQ.
Peter Pilcher Peter Pilcher 6'4" | SF Rogers (Puyallup) | 2026 State WA | Rogers (Puyallup) | 2026
This guy looks more and more comfortable every time I see him. He was making the most of his touches, looking for his shot and attacking right off the catch. He’s got the size and spring to be a factor around the rim but also showed the ability to hit short-range jumpers around the key, step out beyond the arc at times, and do some work off the dribble. He’s got a good foundation to his game and did some work on the defensive end too.
Jake Bonnofsky Jake Bonnofsky 6'0" | PG Mt Si | 2025 State WA | Mt Si | 2025
I was extremely impressed with Bonnofsky this weekend. He showed good strength and agility, great ball security, and an ability to make plays off the dribble that really helped Mt Si’s depth in the backcourt. He can step in and handle point duties, operate off the ball and space the floor with his 3-point shooting, and plays solid defense on the other end.
