The annual DMV Live at DeMatha, Virginia Live Period Shootout (VISAA) and Alexandria City and the first ever VA Live by the VHSL will take place at Saint James, all within a 30 mile radius of each other.
We will take the next week or so breaking down the many prospects for coaches to take a look at in these events, and there’s a TON of them.
Here’s a look at part three of the prospects at the VHSL Live Period we expect to make noise at the event.
My’Kel Jenkins My’Kel Jenkins 6'5" | SF Woodside | 2024 State VA | 6’6” WF | Woodside ’24
Jenkins is one of the more naturally talented wings in the 757 area, and he has a lot of tools that will translate to the next level easily. At 6’6” he has great size and long arms with a basketball frame that should fill out nicely, he can play on the ball where he has a good handle and can get to spots where he can score the ball from multiple levels, he’s an athletic finisher and defender and he can make plays for others on the ball as well.
Silas Barksdale Silas Barksdale 6'7" | PF Woodside | 2025 State #176 Nation VA | 6’8” PF | Woodside ’25
Barksdale is one of the biggest stock risers in VA as he has picked up multiple high major offers splitting time between BWSL’s 16s and 17s, and he will have another chance to boost his stock more this weekend. He’s young for his grade and continues to get better every time we see him play, he has the mobility to run the floor and switch defensively, he can rebound and protect the rim and he has good touch around the rim and he can step out to the midrange too.
Masiah Stevens Masiah Stevens 5'10" | PG Woodside | 2025 State #263 Nation VA | 6’0” PG | Woodside ’25
Stevens is another very talented young player for this Woodside team, as he’s shown time and time again that despite his size he can be one of the most impactful players on the court. He’s a lightning quick guard with a great first step and blazing speed in transition, he can create space off the bounce and is a talented shot maker from deep and in the midrange and he is a good on ball defender who sets the tone on both ends of the floor.
Teyvion Barbour | 6’4” WG | Patriot ’24
Barbour is transferring to an already talented Patriot squad from Osbourn, and he gives them a deadly shooter with good size who is being highly touted by division one programs. Barbour is the type of shooter you like because he doesn’t just stand in one place, he’s able to move off the ball and reads screens well while setting his feet and letting it fly quickly. He has effortless range and he’s a good athlete who can finish at the rim and make plays defensively too.
Isaiah Vick Isaiah Vick 6'7" | PF Patriot | 2024 State VA | 6’7” F | Patriot ’24
Vick is one of the most under the radar prospects in the class, as he has great physical and athletic tools and just keeps growing and getting better every time we see him play. He’s now pushing 6’8” with good versatility as he can step out and knock down shots from deep, he runs the floor well, he’s a good rebounder and finisher in the paint and he can guard multiple positions.
Caleb West Caleb West 6'6" | C Flint Hill | 2025 State VA | 6’6” PF | Falls Church ’24
West is a two sport star at Falls Church that excels as a quarterback on the football too, and he plays with that kind of leadership and IQ on the basketball court too. At 6’6” he’s the vocal leader of the team and gets everyone in the right positions, he’s a good athlete who can run the floor and play above the rim and he’s able to step out on the perimeter and knock down shots as well.
