The following shooters made the most of their big moment with excellent shooting.
Kylon Jones Kylon Jones 6'0" | CG St. Benedict | 2025 NM hit a game-winning three from the far corner. It was an unusually contentious game for a June game and he ended with poise. Jones also handled the basketball out high for the final 40ish seconds in an effort to get the last shot. It was ultimately his shot. Kylon played well throughout the game. He was not the primary ball-handler for stretches, so he had to pick his spots.
Cortez Graham-Howard Cortez Graham-Howard 6'5" | PG Hillsboro | 2025 State TN might have been the most refined guard in the entire event. His shooting prowess was shown more from short-range and around the rim than from the outside, where he built his reputation previously.
Marcus Gray Marcus Gray 6'2" | CG St. Benedict | 2024 State TN was quietly potent off of the ball for SBA Friday. Volume scorer for sure. He moved well away from the basketball and took shots without forcing any.
Eric Jones Eric Jones 5'11" | CG Fayette Ware | 2024 State TN Jr. shot the basketball pretty well in an evening game against Ravenwood High. He did best when the team ran a designed play for him. He liked to shoot from the wings. Jones Jr. is having a really strong June overall after playing great at the earlier BCAT event to open June.
Evan Gainer Evan Gainer 5'9" | PG Ravenwood | 2024 State TN was flaming hot like Cheeto’s Friday night against Fayette-Ware. He sparked a comeback with his hot shooting. FW tried and sometimes bodied him up successfully.
Jahvin Carter Jahvin Carter 6'2" | PG Alcoa | 2024 State #214 Nation TN , whom I only watched during his final game of June, shot it well. He was mildly hobbled by a calf cramp though, so he was a level of effectiveness beneath his peak.
