When caught in a trap, he'd simply find the open man while staying calm and collected. I didn't see him throw one bad pass and he had a lot of court time. He displayed a lightning-quick first step while driving to the basket and took his open shots with no hesitation. He can also sink the three ball and I loved seeing how aggressive he was on the boards. Many scorers will be happy filling in the stat sheet with merely points - not the case for Simpson. He seemed to make the right cuts to the basket every time, resulting in plenty of high-percentage opportunities in the paint despite his 5'5u0022 frame. He consistently asked for the ball, showed no hesitation when he was open, and displayed a swift spin move when driving to the hoop. My favorite thing I saw from him was how high he would elevate to block his man every time.
