I have been knowing TEAM 94 head coach Amber Gregg since what seems like a lifetime ago as she and my daughter were two of the top PLAYERS in the Texas 2027 class, not just GUARDS, players. The first time I saw Amber in probably the 8th grade my daughter said "That girl shoot" and as I drew up a defense that couldn't contain her, I mentioned to her at the TJ Showcase I'm still trying to draw something up.

After setting records in high school at McNeil, she starred at UTSA being named All-Southland Conference 3 times as well as helping lead her team to win their tournament twice along with a couple of regular season titles. She decided to give back and was coaching the boy's squads in her dad's Austin Elite program before deciding to become a college coach and was instrumental in bringing several talented players to Louisiana Lafayette.

Gregg saw a need to help within the grassroots again and started training as well as a boy's team, well teams, in Louisiana called TEAM 94 and although I cover girls, I could miss seeing her back on the sideline with a couple of her squads at the TJ Showcase

Kourtlan Williams (2027)

Willaims is an athletic guard with UPS and watching him battle against much taller players for rebounds was one thing, the intensity he showed on both ends was another. His "on the ball" defense baseline to baseline helped to create turnovers and his attacking the basket strongly from everywhere was also nice, especially seeing him finish strongly after contact. His ballhandling and court vision was impressive, and so is his upside as he THINKS the game

Bryston Sledge (2027)

Sledge laid the HAMMER down as he used his athleticism well on both ends. He also applied solid "on the ball" pressure the length of the court as well as in the set but he also did a good job of using his hands and coming away with steals. He did a spin that sort of hurt my neck watching it, fortunately, he did another to get my neck right again yet he attacked going right or left to get to the rim and finish, as well as the dish. His court vision was also solid in the set and in transition

Christian Glenn (2027)

Glenn falls into that #sizedontmatter category I love to hashtag because he can play and watching him elevate and drop the jumper over taller players had me smiling he uses his athleticism wisely, on both ends yes his defense was solid but he also played the passing lane. His court vision in transition was nice, he also used it in the halfcourt as well, and he has a nice first set[ which enabled him to get to the rim and finish strongly after contact

[player_tooltip player_id='1105528' first='Noah' last='Brookter'] (2024)

Brookter is heady, understands how to control the tempo, and doesn't get flustered under pressure. His court vision stood out immediately as his crisp passes in traffic got his teammates good looks yet "threading the needle" kept standing out as he made tough passes look easy in the open court. He scored off the dribble, nice body control and acrobatic finishes always work for me, but his jumper was smooth from midrange as he dropped it with a hand in his face numerous times

[player_tooltip player_id='1387907' first='Logan' last='Myers'] (2025)

Myers attacked the basket with either hand and finishes the same way, with either hand and sometimes after contact but watching him create his shot was nice because he did it smoothly and effortlessly under pressure. The jumper was nice, especially since he dropped it with a hand in his face but his deceptive first step, or the step back got him looks, and so did the slight HEZ which he implemented into his repertoire with ease. He did a good job rebounding, on both ends and defended strongly

Kollin Thibeaux (2025)

Thibeaux was a menace in the pain and he understands how to use his body to overpower the defender and finish with authority. He hit the boards on both ends, and he scored on putbacks but his running the floor hard was just as impressive. He applied pressure on defense inside the paint, and he even stepped out of it a few times to hold his man yet he's also a player that goes after loose balls, which is something you can't teach, and with his "you won't outwork me" mindset, his upside is good
