SubscribeThe next generation is on the way and here’s a look at what you can expect to see over the next 4-5 years to come. From sharp shooting to being tough on the court, defender, or getting all the rebounds, these players will be your favorite players soon.
Hayden Fredrick- Hayden does a little bit of everything for you, for that top kansas united team, he’s by far the one to look out for. What stands out the most is how crafty he is with the ball. His ability to shift defenders and finish without much athleticism is impressive. A little bit of a high-arching shot but he has become highly efficient from the 3, there’s no doubt he’s going to make a ton of noise at the high school level.
Max Mellinger- When you talk about good size guards with a good skill set put Max’s name in the conversation. His stronger physique allows him to guard bigger players, but keep up with the more true guards. Max can be deadly when he’s shooting his jumper from the mid-range or 3. If he learns how to get his offense rolling through the flow of the game instead of iso ball, he’s going to become a real problem because the skillset is already there.
Bria Fitzwilliams- Don’t let her shyness or smile fool you, she’s your worst nightmare on the court for the whole team. She’s usually the smallest on the court but when she’s out there she can defend like no other. She presses you full court and keeps the ball in front, she’s always in help so there’s no escaping her, or she’s backside taking a charge on her opponent. On the offensive end, she makes big-time plays by making the right passes or hitting a big-time 3. With or without size, she’s a problem for years to come.
Gage Stepich- Gage is one of the more underrated players with a high ceiling. He has good size strength and height for a guard and has the range to shoot the 3-pointer beyond the line. One of the best attributes that can he can bring to games consistently is his ability to rebound over others. When he locks in on the ball and pursues it he can dominate the glass on a nightly basis. The independent player will have a bright future with all the hard work he puts in.
Santonio Gambles Love- Santonio or “Tone” has an unorthodox style of play but his experience at an early age gives him that edge. He has good form, a long wingspan, and a big foot so you know he’s not done growing in height, it’s just a matter of time before it’s his time to shine. He always seems to know where to be at the right time. He played a season after coming off of multiple knee surgeries and managed to bounce back and compete. Considering all the adversity he’s overcome and still manage to perform, you just know he’s a special kid.
