SubscribeThe Prep Hoops Next NHR State tournament brought together a bunch of talent together at Shakopee High School with many prospects that are deserving of a mention. Let’s see who was standing out in the 14U group. We will make this a series.
Liam Jaro – 5’10” PG – 204 Elite – The 204 Elite team out of Canada surprised me some. They had two prospects that could handle the ball at a high skill level, and Jaro was one of them. He can also be a one-on-one scorer.
Joaquin Ong – 5’11 PG – 204 Elite – Ong was the other point guard —
Bryce Austin — Wing/F — Racine Truth – I don’t have info on his height, but he’s at least six-foot and can get to the hoop off the drive with quickness, explosion, and size.

Zareontae Gwinn – G – Racine Truth – Gwinn was another prospect with elite athleticism and speed/quickness. Great end-to-end ability with the ball in his hands.

Thomas Jordan – G – Minnesota Rush – Jordan stood out and made some crucial plays in crucial moments. A fluid athlete that can finish in creative ways in the lane. A true slasher and pure playmaker.

Jack Thelen – 6’9” F/C – Minnesota Rush – Jack stands out with his size at 6’9”. Moves better than you’d think and will rebound the ball. Talked to him some and he’s a mature and smart kid.

Miles Felton – 5’10” G – Team Tyus 2027 Blue – Felton is a kid that could get to the hoop off the dribble and create. Athletic, strong, with a solid frame.
Jayden Anunda – 6’3” F – Minnesota Select 2027 Edwards – A rare combination of youth, size, speed, athleticism, and work ethic. Anunda could get up and down the court in an instant and also jump out of the gym.
