Fargo, ND - Davies hosted the Metro Team Camp on Friday, June 16th. PHD was in attendance for the AM games and the early afternoon. We watched all North Dakota teams. Who looked good? Read below for comments on 22 players....

PHD saw a talented mix of players from the 2024 class all the way down to 2027 players.

Metro Camp Standouts

[player_tooltip player_id='1551198' first='Josh' last='Wittich'] (2024) |6'5 F| Sargent County

He has good size and is long. Wittich appears to be power forward but he prefers to catch on the wing and slash. He impressed me with his spin-move. Josh uses it going both ways and he scores with either hand. You have to love a BIG that produces with both hands. He does not just drive to score, Josh drove to create and he got his teammates open looks. Josh has good eyes, he hit cutters often, and Martinson is his favorite target. He got to the rim for points but also hit shots in the pull-up game. Wittich was fruitful on the glass. He showed awe-inspiring timing with an O-board tip-in and other putback scores. The Bulldogs are going to be the real deal in class B once again.

[player_tooltip player_id='1145108' first='Luke' last='Martinson'] (2024) |6'4 F| Sargent County

Luke showed of his strength on Friday. He flexed his muscle around the rim. The athletic Bulldogs scored through, over, and around defenders. Multiple times I watched him split double teams and contact did little to nothing to slow him down. Luke was smart about drawing contact and getting to the line. He utilized a spin-move to beat a double team. When posting, Martinson attacked the D, absorbed the contact, held his ground, and scored with a short fall-away J. Luke also impressed me as a cutter. He and Wittich work well together and they will be a thorn in every teams side this winter. Lookout for the Twin Towers from Region 1!

[player_tooltip player_id='1322213' first='Rylen' last='Wick'] (2024) |6'6 F| Medina-Pingree/Buchanan

He is very long and Wick has the size to be strictly an interior player. However, that is not the case. Rylen is a Big-Time shooter. His range runs way way deep. His shot is soft, he has a high release, and Wick has a shooters touch. Rylen also scored around the hoop with putbacks and layups. He is smart about using his body to his advantage. He shields the ball, leans into the D, and creates separation with crafty footwork. Wick is also a monster on the glass and he has a nose for the ball. I think Wick has a 6th sense for where the ball is going after a shot. His long arms help him snag the ball before defenders get there. He is also a talented and willing passer. Rylen passes out of the post, slashed and dished, and delivered 1-handed dimes off the dribble. Wick is a complete package and I will not be surprised if he is an All-State player in 23-24.

[player_tooltip player_id='2022580' first='Gage' last='Magstadt'] (2024) |6'4 F| Medina-Pingree/Buchanan

He has good size and he is always around the ball. Gage got the line often in both halves when I was watching. He is a grinder that battled for boards and he gave the Thunder multiple extra possessions with O-rebounds. He also scored with putbacks. Gage can spread the floor abd shoot it. I watched him drain a few triples. I was impressed with his pick-n-pop trey. When I was watching, the Thunder took down a tough Sargent County team. Magstadt is going to be a great complimentary player to Wick.

[player_tooltip player_id='2022583' first='Tarek' last='Kinzell'] (2026) |5'9 G| Medina-Pingree/Buchanan

He is youthful but is full of energy and vigor. Kinzell stuck out with his hustle and quickness. He was not the biggest player on the court but Tarek was still able to track down offensive rebounds. He is a lefty that looked to be a capable shooter and he scored points in transition. Kinzell is flat-out fast on the court, he has breakaway speed. He will be a very nice contributor for the Thunder, MPB is going to have a nice team and they will win many games next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1487956' first='Teysean' last='Eaglestaff'] (2024) |6'7 F| Bismarck

He is long and his wingspan could be compared to an albatross. Teysean did a bit of everything and had a positive impact on the game. He picked off a pass and that led to a 2-handed WHAM. He blocked several shots with his long arms and punctual timing. I like his handles, many times, Eaglestaff grabbed a defensive rebound and led the break the other way. Teysean has no trouble handling the rock in the open court. He also threw skilled left-handed passes off the bounce. In the second game, Teysean made some great passes. He was slashing, drawing help, and zipping the ball around to shooters. Speaking of shooting...Eaglestaff drained triples off the bounce and off the catch. He has a high ceiling with a boatload of potential.

[player_tooltip player_id='1219802' first='Andre'' last='Austin'] (2025) |6'2 PG| Bismarck

He has lengthened out since I watched him last. Austin was putting on an athletic display during warmups with some serious dunks. On defense Dre was always around the ball, he was getting many tips, deflections, and steals. He showed off his persistence & hustle with O-rebounds. Throughout the day, Dre hit multiple triples, his pull-up from deep was effective. His range in the catch-n-shoot game was also impressive. A few times, Austin had good defenders with quick feet guarding him. However, Dre had too many moves, and his offensive prowess was just too much to handle. He was deadly off the bounce and his scoring at the rim is next-level. Austin and the Demons will be one of the best in ND next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1632632' first='Artie' last='Carlow'] |5'10 G| Bismarck

I had heard that Artie was a skilled individual and this young man did not disappoint! Carlow produced in transition as an opportunistic scorer and he is a gifted passer. When attacking the basket, Artie always has his eyes peeled and he finds the shooter or cutter. I liked his scoring at the rim with smooth finger rolls and when he lets it go from 3pt land, it looks like Carlow is shooting out of a phone booth. Artie does not just have a nice looking shot, he made multiple. He stood out with ball-on-a-string-handles. Artie is an intriguing player with pure talent.

[player_tooltip player_id='1178059' first='Grady' last='Swanson'] (2025) |6'0 G| Bismarck

Imagine that, the Demons have another 3-point shooter! Grady takes after his older brother. He has a good-looking shot and he can stroke it from three. I liked the fluidity of his pull-up J. Swanson also showed hustle by scoring in transition.

[player_tooltip player_id='1512858' first='Keetan' last='Eagle'] (2024) |5'10 G| Bismarck

He plays hard and he flies around on defense. Keatan showed quick hands with a pick-pocket steal. Eagle also crashed the boards hard. He knocked down multiple 3-pointers over the course of the day.

[player_tooltip player_id='1144489' first='Preston' last='Lemar'] (2024) |6'2 SG| Bismarck

He is a gifted athlete that played great at the Metro Camp. Lemar has a smooth stroke from 3-point land and he drained many. He is not afraid to let it fly in transition and for good reason, Preston hit many. He made shots off the dribble and the catch. Lemar scored on fastbreak run outs, off steals, and with an athletic reverse layup. He stole passes many times and I like his defensive awareness. Lemar is an instinctive playmaker.

[player_tooltip player_id='1169135' first='Pearce' last='Parks'] (2025) |6'3 SG| Red River

This was the best that I have seen Parks play on the defensive side of the ball. He really moved his feet well and he kept attackers in front. Pearce also blocked several shots. Parks is strong and explosive. He scored from beyond the arc, with transition layups, off the bounce, from the block, and with a soft fadeaway J. He also had an impressive 2-foot finish over a 6'7" defender. Parks will be the alpha from RR and one of the top players in the EDC next season.

Seth Miller (2024) |6'4 C| Red River

Miller is BIG boy. Seth is strong and tough. If he does not want to be moved, it is not happening. Miller looks to be a good help-side defender that is not afraid to come across to lane and stop an attacker. Seth grabbed many O-boards, he sealed his man on the block, and he got to the FT-line. Miller knocked down a 15-foot J and he had a timely slip to the basket for a wide open layup.

[player_tooltip player_id='1178060' first='Thomas' last='Kraft'] (2025) |5'9 G| Red River

It was good to see the young Kraft back on the court. Thomas is much bigger and stronger compared to the last time I saw him on the hardwood. He physically matured and added a large amount of muscle. Kraft took a charge on D, he hustled, played hard on D, and he drained a triple.

[player_tooltip player_id='1927441' first='Hayden' last='Hong'] (2024) |6'1 G| Red River

He made some nice moves when attacking the basket. Hayden looks to have good footwork and he can finish in a variety of ways. Hong made some explosive plays and I liked his hustle when grabbing offensive rebounds.

[player_tooltip player_id='1557677' first='Alpha' last='Camara'] (2024) |6'5 F| Davies

He showcased his athleticism with multiple dunks throughout the day. When on defense, Camara stole the ball, picked off passes, and blocked a ton of shots. Alpha swatted shots out of the air like they were flies. He was very productive on the offensive glass and this led to buckets for Alpha. He is a freak athlete that looking like a playmaker. Since last summer, Alpha's skill and craft has come a long ways.

[player_tooltip player_id='1332141' first='Cameron' last='Miller'] (2026) |6'0 G| Davies

The young PG looked good on Wednesday and Miller was at it again. I love the demeanor that he plays with. He does not seemed rushed but he still plays fast. Miller had a fantastic finish with a defender in his face. He kept his shoulders square to the basket, that led to a score with an outstretched hand, Cam finished it with a soft kiss off the glass. He also scored with a nifty floater. Cam made many impressive passes. He threw a 3/4 court dime, a marvelous bounce pass in transition, Cam passes people open. He has great eyes and he can deliver all the passes. Miller is super impressive when he gets downhill and I love how he plays with leverage. I could see the young Miller as the starting PG for Davies.

[player_tooltip player_id='1657449' first='Weston' last='Scott'] (2027) |6'2 SG| Bismarck

This was my first time seeing Scott and he was awesome. Weston has a flawless looking jump shot and he delivered from deep. His ball skills are ridiculous, his footwork is advanced, and his finishing package is immense. I loved his hesistation move. Weston can do it all on the court and he will only be a freshmen this fall. I will not be surprised when I see Scott getting varsity minutes this next season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1167964' first='Carter' last='Henke'] (2024) |6'1 SG| Bismarck

He was one of the top shooters that I watched. In the first game on Friday, Carter knocked down 7 triples. He was also finishing at the rim and was great at using his body to shield the rock. Henke has a soft and effortless shot. He is a strong player but his shot is fluid. I was very impressed with his passing. Henke is a crisp passer that puts zip on the ball. It does not take long for the ball to get into his teammates shooting pocket. He penetrates, gets in space, and finds the open man. Henke was fantastic.

[player_tooltip player_id='1632627' first='Abakar' last='Miganoudji'] (2026) |6'5 SF| Fargo South

He was a bright spot for the Bruins. Abakar scored points with multiple offensive rebound putbacks and he showed a soft touch around the rim. He also recorded an AND1. The athletic lefty showed astonishing hang time when finishing over defenders. When slashing to the rim, I loved how Abakar absorbed contact from the defense, kept his balance, and still scored at the rim. His athleticism was also impressive in warmups. He threw down a wide array of SLAMS with some eye-popping jackhammers. Do you think this kid has potential?

[player_tooltip player_id='1545213' first='Kenyatta' last='White'] (2026) |6'3 F| Bismarck

He is a well-put-together athlete. Kenyatta does not look like he just finished his freshman year. White is gifted, he runs well, jumps high, and is super mobile. He looks to be a tough defender that moves his feet well. White looked good shooting the triple and he made plays on defense. He can also produce in the paint. I was impressed with how quickly Kenyatta closed on the ball when it was in the air. White looks to be on his way to being a dude.

[player_tooltip player_id='1418033' first='Grant' last='Bieber'] (2026) |6'1 G| Bismarck

The youthful shooter was impressive from beyond the arc. Bieber is major threat from deep. Grant is good in the catch-n-shoot game and he is a big guard for his age. When his teammates were attacking, I liked how Bieber reacted to his defender and drifted corner for an open shot. He also scored with a lefty tip-in and he showed skill with a smooth pass off the dribble.
