Multiple high school events will be taking place in the month of June including the IBCA Top 100 workout, the Charlie Hughes Showcase, plus multiple summer leagues. Prep Hoops Indiana will be out in full force all month watching multiple high schools prospects across the board. Let’s go ahead and take a look at Part 1 of five players from the 2024 class that are on my watch list for the month of June.
Lewis is officially the newest addition to this already stacked Crispus Attucks team and will be the team’s primary ball handler. He is extremely quick with the ball in his hands, creates for himself and others off of the bounce, and can be a pest as an on-ball defender as well. Playing with a talented team like Attucks should really help boost his stock as a reliable, talented lead guard. He should really showcase what he can bring in the month in June. Crispus Attucks has a high value lead guard.
At 6-foot-5, House is one of the longer and more athletic shooting guards we have in the in-state 2024 class. Houser is know for his quick release and confident outside jumper while also having the handles to be a a secondary playmaker or create his own shot off of the bounce. During spring AAU, he has looked really good for Indy Heat 2024 Red and has gotten colleges to start taking notices and gaining interest in him. Having a pure athletic guard that can also shoot and create is a major advantage to any team and that is what Houser brings. His talent and potential is why I have him in my June watch list.
Casky, a Indiana Junior All-Star, has really started the process of boosting his overall stock with his fantastic play during the spring portion of the AAU season. In June, I feel as though he is going to continue his upward trend. At 6-foot-3, Casky is one of the more highly athletic wings we have in the state and is just really efficient at scoring at all three levels. He also rebounds so well and on the defensive end he is very active and looks like he wants to compete on that end. For Pike, he should be their “go to” player a lot this upcoming season. Keep a close eye on Casky’s recruitment because I feel it could pop off.
Highlights
Gustin in another player that has really boosted his overall stock as of late. He has been one of the more under-the-radar players in the 2024 in-state class but as of late is starting to come more noticed with his D1 offers he has gotten. With his great size as a power forward, his overall game has seen a sold uptick with his finishing ability and willingness to try and win the rebound battles. He moves very well for his size, runs the floor, and can operate effectively as a roll man offensively. June could prove the be a very big month for him, which is why he is on my watch list.
Highlights
Even with his legit size at 6-foot-9, Duncan continues to be one of the more under-the-radar centers we have in the in-state class of 2024. He has looked a lot better playing like a true post with his back to the basket during the spring and is rebounding well. On the defensive end, he is protecting the rim and not backing down from other post players. His mobility has also really improved and he is using his footwork to score very well. With his development as of late compared with his size, Duncan is a player to watch in the month of June.
