Tyler Bergmans Tyler Bergmans 6'2" | SG South Burlington | 2024 State New E , 6’2 G – South Burlington H.S. / Green Mountain Select Class of 2024
The jack of all trades was back at it. Per usual, Tyler finished with efficiency around the rim as a slasher, and he got into his post package, showing patience and control around the cup. Moreover, he his mid-range is coming along and his off-ball movement clean. But it was so much more than scoring. Bergmans facilitated, ran the break, rebounded at a high clip and blocked a few shots. His all-around game was on display.
Tucker Tharpe Tucker Tharpe 6'6" | PF Champlain Valley | 2024 State New E , 6’6 W/F – Champlain Valley Union H.S. / Blueprint Basketball Class of 2024
Yet again, Tucker demonstrated his versatility. Tharpe protected the rim and rebounded the rock well, plus, he showed his ability to push the break and be a playmaker in transition with his timely feeds and big-time jams. Naturally, he did work interior work, finishing inside and making crisp feeds. Tucker was fluid playing inside and out on both sides of the ball.
Kyle Eaton Kyle Eaton 5'9" | PG Champlain Valley Union | 2024 New E , 5’9 G – Champlain Valley Union H.S. / Blueprint Basketball Class of 2024
Eaton is coming back from injury, but he showed no signs of rust. Kyle’s tight handle and quickness allowed him to get to his spots and organize the offense. In addition, his shot was fluid and falling with consistency. Defensively, he was pesky. In ballhandlers pockets, in passing lanes, and disrupting the offensive flow at large. Kyle put in work.
Deng Aguek, 6’1 G – South Burlington H.S. / VT Elite Class of 2025
The lanky combo-guard was smooth as ever. Aguek’s shot was falling both in transition and in the halfcourt, in part due to his smart off-ball movement. And once the defense sent more attention and help his way, Deng adjusted and made plays for others with his awareness and passing ability. A hardnosed defender too, Aguek made hustle plays in transition and defended the perimeter with his length and agility. Well-rounded evening from Deng.
Will Hughes, 5’11 G – BFA St. Albans Class of 2024
Hughes had his work cut out for him, but the never-quit attitude from Will shined through. He handled a ton of ball pressure and balanced his attack of passing through it and dribbling through it, wisely picking his spots. And of course, Hughes got to the cup often and showed his crafty footwork around the rim. Defensively tough, Hughes laid it all out there and led by example. Hard work as always.
Jack Lafayette, 5’10 G – South Burlington H.S. / VT Elite Class of 2026
A steady force on the floor, Jack showed a sharpened toolkit and highly disciplined defense. Lafayette’s decision making was quick and clean, seemingly always making the simple basketball play, whether it was a hockey assist, smart relocation off the ball, a lead pass, or knocking down the open shot. Moreover, his defensive work featured tight footwork and wise defensive habits, making him a gluey player on both ends. So solid.
Cooper McCurley, 5’10 G – Essex H.S. / Blueprint Basketball Class of 2026
Cooper’s night featured a ton of facilitation and heady defensive work. McCurley orchestrated the offense to a tee and made the right play consistently, both in transition and in the halfcourt as an offensive creator. Moreover, he locked in defensively and forced guards into tough positions on the floor, taking away their rhythm. The sophomore will be a lead guard at EHS this winter, so these reps add up.
Luke Allen, 6’2 G/W – Champlain Valley Union H.S. / Blueprint Basketball Class of 2025
A long guard with the versatility to play multiple positions, Luke put together a nice night. Allen showed consistent rotations in CVU’s 1-3-1 defense, working the wing with ball pressure and rotating down into the paint to battle for boards and to protect the rim. Additionally, Luke ran the floor well, showed his ability to orchestrate, and made the simple play, putting pressure on the defense as a passer and as a slasher. Steady work.
Van Mosley, 6’2 W – Essex H.S. / Blueprint Basketball Class of 2026
A gluey 3&D type, Van played his role intuitively. Mosley is a hustle guy who reeled in boards, defended with heart and rotated crisply. And on the offensive end, his off-ball movement was timely and spacious as he consistently made himself available as a spot-up shooter or a pressure release. Van’s feel is evident.
Gabe Howrigan, 6’2 W – BFA St. Albans Class of 2025
A stocky wing, Gabe brought the BFA toughness that’s always expected of them. Howrigan punctured the paint often with his slashing and finished around the rim plus got to the FT line. And on the defensive end, Gabe worked hard to contain the never-ending onslaught of high-end wings that South Burlington rolled out. Gabe continues to improve.
