Xander Salas Xander Salas 5'11" | PG Green City | 2025 State MO (Green City): The 5’11” 2025 point guard was one of the top five players at the event. He displayed his quickness and ability to change directions as he repeatedly touched the paint on his dribble penetration. His court vision was excellent as he delivered many nifty passes. His mid-range shooting game is cash money and he knocked down a couple of 3-pointers as well.
******
JJ White (Atlanta): The 2025 guard is a solid athlete who plays with a lot of energy. He was shooting the deep ball very well off the catch. When he wasn’t knocking down 3-pointers, he could also attack the close outs with a one-dribble move to hit the mid-range jumper.
*******
Colten Kendrick (Paris): A 5’11” 2025 point guard who plays the position in an old-school manner with his pass-first mentality. He has a good feel for the game to go along with his excellent court vision. He was seeing his teammates open before they knew they were open and he delivered the nice pass. He could also make an open shot and get a bucket when he needs to have one.
******
Ty Hall (Green City): The 5’7″ 2025 guard was one of the top perimeter shooters that I watched during the day. In the one game I watched against Salisbury, he knocked down seven 3-pointers. He did an excellent job moving without the ball and doing his work to get himself shot ready. He could also shoot it off the bounce as he was most effective when going to his left.
******
Kaleb Friebe (Fayette): A 6’0″ 2025 guard who had an impressive offensive skill set that was on display. He played in constant motion with his movement as he was very vocal at both ends of the court, especially on defense when he was keeping his teammates alert. He hit a number of high-arching 3-pointers off the catch.
*******
Cale Nelson (Higbee): A 2027 point guard who did a nice job playing against the older players. He played with a lot of poise and showed a nice feel for the game. He handled the ball well and operated the pick-and-roll quite effectively. He made some very good pocket passes to rolling teammates and he could hit a perimeter shot.
