Elia Varisco, 6’3 G/W – Green Mountain Select
Elia is one of the silkiest shooters in the 802 that nearly no one knows about. His ability to create space and knock down jumpers is special, and he can do it 1v1 or in the pnr. Plus, he has over-the-top vision and length, enabling him nice adaptability in his playmaking. Varisco is a tough defender, rebounder, and a serious competitor. He’s finishing high school in the Albany area next year, so keep watch.
Xavier Hill, 6’3 G – Hardwick Mustangs
A sizable orchestrator and scorer, Xavier’s versatility is quickly noted. Hill organizes the offense with ease, and the southpaw can create too with his scoring and passing ability. In addition, he’s a long defender who covers multiple perimeter positions and scraps for 50/50s. Xavier’s size and skillset make him so dynamic on both ends.
Mitchell Parkman, 6’2 W – Green Mountain Select
Mitchell plays the game with an old-school flavor. Parkman loves to get physical inside on both ends, finishing well as a slasher and post player, and he can defend and rebound within the interior. Moreover, he has the handle + strength to push the break and puncture the second layer time and time again. He’s that one who does the dirty work with zeal.
Oakley Francis, 6’3 W/F – Pro City
Oakley embodies the modern 3/4 forward. Francis can battle inside and reel in boards, second chance buckets, and he has the drop-step to finish around the rim. Yet he’s comfortable on the wing, can slash well off limited dribbles, and his jumper is coming along. Then defensively, he’s very flexible. Oak covers the perimeter with his athleticism and footwork, and his physicality inside secures the paint. So tough.
Sam Parris, 5’11 G – VT Wolves
One of the most agile and cunning on-ball defenders around, Parris is relentless. His foot speed and determination to hound ballhandlers 94×50 routinely gives opponents fits, and he doesn’t seem to tire. And on the offensive end, Sam is a quick decision maker with nice slashing ability and finishing instincts. Sam’s dogged defense and athleticism alone make him an impactful guard.
