Held at the renowned home of back-to-back state champions, the Mojave Rattlers, this league has gained recognition for its ability to nurture young talent. What makes this league truly special is the remarkable presence of standout middle school players who demonstrate exceptional skills on the court. These rising stars showcase their abilities against older, more experienced players, capturing the attention of coaches, scouts, and fans alike. With its commitment to fostering talent and providing a platform for young athletes to shine, the Desert Reign Summer League has become a breeding ground for future high school basketball basketball players in Las Vegas.

Breeden is one of the youngest players in the league so it’s no surprise he’s had his ups and downs. However for every mistake there is a glimpse of potential. He showed good skill, by hitting his floaters and runners in the lane, which allows him to neutralize the size disadvantage he plays against.

He looked good while getting some quality time against varsity competition.

Willacey is a player that has himself right on the cusp of the freshman rankings in his city. He was good on the defensive end during the summer league, showing that he can get out and pressure opposing guards. On the offensive end, he continues to develop his overall game, as he currently was at his best when serving as a floor spacer. The incoming freshman was a corner shooter for the squad during the league.

I was really excited to find out that Dominic Rudd would be in the League, The young scoring guard has terrific length, which allows him to compete for rebounds against taller opponents. His length also makes him an intriguing wing prospect, as he showed that he could handle some on the perimeter, using several quick burst to defeat full court pressure in the games I saw.
