(Hillsboro) finished a wonderful up-and-under layup. He is getting really, really good at avoiding the help defender when he gets to the basket. His strength earlier in his development was shooting. He is much better now at not only beating his man, but also avoiding the help and finishing with consistency in traffic.
For whatever reason Columbia Academy continues to underutilize

. Too often Griffin just becomes a rebounder. Why can’t they feed him more? Why can’t they get him the ball with his back to the basket and let him work?
This feels like a lost opportunity.

SBA guard Kylon Jones Kylon Jones 6'0" | CG St. Benedict | 2025 TN hit a game-winner, a three-pointer at the buzzer.
SBA guard Ryan Neely Ryan Neely 6'2" | PG Saint Benedict At Auburndale | 2024 TN (2024) was nice. He is a really, crafty lead guard. He created his own shots out of seemingly nothing. He can really dribble and get to the basket. The senior-to-be desperately needs to fill out his body. He can go from a slinky finisher to a powerful slashing guard capable of taking the hit.
The younger brother of DJ Starr, Donovan Starr (2025) found some minutes on a deep guard-driven steam. What can Donovan do? He looks pretty steady as a point guard, but he is not a dynamic scorer right now. It is also unlikely that you are going to see much asked of him offensively with the seniority of the team.
Ty Fitch (Ravenwood) played incredible on-ball defense. He is short at the point guard spot, by a little bit. Maybe more slight of frame than short. But his feet are always moving. He is often in front of the ball-handler despite really creative attacking.
Rocco Lamuno (Ravenwood) played quite well. He is looking like a definite college basketball player a year out. Entering his junior season he is a fantastic scorer. Lamuno reminds of Chris Douglas-Roberts, in that he is not an elite athlete, but he just has that knack for scoring. From everywhere. Like a goal-scorer in hockey or soccer, he hyper-aware of where the basket is at every moment. Rocco hit countless shots with heavy pressure. A wizard at creating and exposing minor spacing.
Marcus Gray Marcus Gray 6'2" | CG St. Benedict | 2024 State TN (SBA) turned it on late. He was virtually irrelevant for much of the game, barely attacking. When he turned the switch, Gray thrived. He is so smooth with the dribble and getting to the basket. Good strength and silkiness. He hit a big corner-3, off of a pass by Kylon Jones Kylon Jones 6'0" | CG St. Benedict | 2025 TN , to even the game at 42-42.
