Steve Donahue Steve Donahue 6'4" | SG Montgomery | 2024 State NJ , 6’4 Montgomery
Donahue has had a strong June and is looking to carry it over into July. The 6’4 guard has a smooth release on his jumper and can get hot from distance in a hurry. Donahue moves well without the ball in his hands, freeing himself for open layups and jumpers in the halfcourt. He is an underrated passer and moves his feet on the defensive end. Donahue’s ability to stretch the floor and defend on the ball is something that will help his stock in a big way.
Tre Powell Tre Powell 6'0" | SG Medford Tech | 2024 State NJ , 6’0 Medford Tech
Powell has the potential to play either backcourt spot, which makes him an intriguing prospect to watch. The 6’0 guard has a tight handle, which he uses to blow by his defender and finish around the rim. Powell has a nice touch on his floater and can knock down open jumpers on the perimeter. He gets deflections on the defensive end and moves well without the ball in his hands. Powell is a speedy guard prospect who should put up big numbers in July.
Max Portnoy, 6’3 Eastern
Portnoy is a hard-working guard prospect who should make plays this July. The 6’3 guard attacks the basket strong as he is a good finisher and is unafraid of contact. Portnoy plays with control with the ball in his hands and sets his feet before he shoots. He is a strong rebounder for a guard and moves his feet on the defensive end. Portnoy is a tough guard prospect who will be one to track in July.
Hass Cannon Hass Cannon 6'4" | SG Hamilton West | 2024 State NJ , 6’4 Hamilton West
Cannon is one of the more interesting guard prospects in the class with his combination of size and athleticism. The 6’4 guard has a good first step, which he uses to get to the rim and finish through contact. Cannon rises up nicely on his jumper and is unafraid of taking big shots down the stretch. He can get his teammates involved in the halfcourt and has the length to defend multiple positions on the floor. Cannon’s ability to get to the rim and make plays on the defensive end is something that will help his stock in a big way in July.
Josh Michigan Josh Michigan 6'4" | SG Compass Prep | 2024 State NJ , 6’4 Compass Prep
Michigan is a guard prospect who could have a big July with his ability to stretch the floor. The 6’4 guard has a clean release on his jumper and can knock down triples in bunches. Michigan has an underrated handle as he can get to the rim and finish around the basket. He moves well without the ball in his hands and is a strong rebounder for a guard. Michigan is a sharpshooting guard prospect who should be knocking down jumpers from distance over the next couple of weeks.
