Donovan Gill
Donovan Gill
Relentlessly attacking the defense. That’s what he does best. He is a crafty lefty guard who has the quickness to blow by the defense. He also showed that he doesn’t have the million dollar move, one cent finish. He finished at the rim several times with a variety of crafty moves. He is fast, and loves to play at a high speed, which he excels at. He is excellent in the open floor. He also had some nice mid-range jumpers with a little flare and variety to them. He is a scorer who attacks first and asks questions later.
Ota only been a year since I last saw him play but the overall improvement in his game was exciting to see. He has gotten stronger and is quicker to the hoop. He can really finish in the paint using both hands. He can absorb contact from the defense with his strength and get buckets at the rim. He has better ball skills than he did a year ago, that part was obvious. He is able to set himself up and attack. He can also shoot it from three. All levels scorer who is one of the more impressive Sophomores to be in the state. His size and overall skill-set has him way ahead of the game. He’s a dandy and that improvement in one year shows that he will continue to get better. Tough player.
Highlights
Jett is a fitting name for him with the way he plays. He can turn on the jets and go using his great quickness. He has a great basketball IQ as a true point guard. He can facilitate or score, finishing in the paint at his size with some great moves. He is also a good three point shooter with a lot of range. His shot mechanics are pure. Maybe the most impressive thing was the floater in the lane. He uses it to shoot over the defense and it’s effective. He plays bigger than he is and most of that comes from aspects of the game that require plenty of repitition. He handles the ball with care as well.

Jordan is a strong guard who goes at the bucket with a purpose. He continously got into the paint and finished at the rim despite getting fouled on most. One of the best at getting to the hoop I saw today and his strength and determination get him there along with enough skill to get the job done. He probably had around 20 points and most all of them came in the paint.
