Parents not caught up on rest from the last Prephoops tournament. With that being said lets dive into who caused Mayhem in the Plex early this morning.

David Dorsey
Blink your eye and you might miss Dorsey running up the court. His movements were fluid with the ball. Drive by defenders with his quick first step, and contains soft touch on his floaters over taller defenders. His mind has developed since freshman year. His face is emotionless whether his team is up or down. Sneaky hands that poke the ball away or block a shot from behind. This will be a player to keep an eye on.

Franklin woke the crowd up with a couple of dunks this morning. First, his wingspan causes multiple problems in the passing lane, and he stays active. He take long steps toward the basket using angles to the rim. His in-air display excite the crowd because of his hang time ability. Franklin perimeter shooting, defense, length, and athleticism can get him to the next level.

Talk about ball pressure this tournament you must talk about Burkes. Doesn’t allow point guards to analyze the floor, and constantly poke at the ball, which throws the ball handler rhythm off. Physical guard with the body to match. Fun to watch when creating plays in transition. A fast player that can change the pace of the game.

Harlan lit up the three-point line this morning in a close game. The fundamental player moves without the ball. He may look nice, but his gameplay is far from soft. Scrappy players on the boards that find the open-cutting man. Real patient and poise player that handles physicality well.

A blur while dribbling the ball. The young brother plays with a chip on his shoulder. Uptempo guard that game will expand once he changes the pace more with his dribble. Another quick first-step guard who can get in the middle of defenses. His coaches at Beast Elite believe in him cause I saw him playing 17u also. He doesn’t play to score but play to win
