It is exciting to see these young players grow up and start to get to a level where they are receiving more recognition. There has abeen a few players that have stayed near the top these past few years as we track the top young players in the country. Here is a list of 5 that is next level and should be major to watch players.
With two early offers from Division 1 schools King has shown that he can hoop at a high level regardless of his age. He has offerS from Cal State Bakersfield and Texas A&M to get things started. He is also playing with kids older than him in high school leagues and he is running them. He has some great footwork and balance on his shot and he is using a really solid high release as well. He does have those attacking skills but that shot he has going right now is next level. Back to his attacking, the kid is hitting windmills already and he does it with such ease. He moves well without the ball and he is also on the giving end as he does have some solid passing skills as well. North Carolina continues to produce talent.
This kid has another gear that most kids at the high school level do not have. Jamaal is a lead guard that not only plays at a high level he has a bounce, an extra step or explosion to his level of play. Jamaal is a play maker that can get players shots but also create for himself as well. He drops some amazing dimes and he loves to make those plays because he is looking for his teammates often. He plays so low to the ground that his moves are just swift and quick. He has a variety of moves he can go to when getting by defenders and attacking the rim. Maryland has quietly been producing some top tier talent.
Cameron is a big dude already and he has a grown man game. He powers through people and over people. That big body is loaded with guard skills as he can handle the rock and that strength fends off pesky defenders. He has a way of getting to the rim with force and he also has a skill set in the mid-range as he uses that float game. On the glass he is relentless and will try and haul every rebound down. The Midwest has a good one with this kid.
This kid is a monster and he is one of the best players out West for sure. He is a player that will jump on a high school team and not even appear to be a freshman because he works on his strength and the kid is just built a bit different. Although the kid can shoot the rock as he has a pure relase and the ability to get in the post and do work there as well he is really good in that mid-range are catching the ball and doing work. He kind of has a pro style of play to him already. It could be that he is coached by Matt Barnes, but gene is a next level kid for sure.
Anthony has that hand down man down shooting ability. You have to be close to him when he is near the ball because he has such a quick release and he catches the ball loaded and ready to shoot. He has such a poise handle and he is strong with both hands. One of the premier ball handling shooters in the NY area. Passing ability and vision is superior than his peers. Teammates need to keep their hands ready because that ball is coming. Kind of reminds you of an Eli Ellis and his ability to score the ball.
