Survivor Series Saturday PM Standouts

He also made some timely hustle plays to help his team preserve a hard-fought victory. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2231730' first='Xavier' last='Buchanan']&nbsp;| 17U Shots Up/St Charles (MD) '24 </strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Buchanan is no longer one of the best-kept secrets in Charles County. He is a dynamic 6'3" guard who is a different type of athlete. Buchanan is shot-ready upon the catch and has 3-point range. He gets downhill consistently and is a terrific playmaker with a good feel for the game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Isaiah Edwards | 17U Shots Up/South County&nbsp;(VA) '24</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Edwards is a great glue guy to have on a winning team. He is a point guard who defends the ball, rebounds, can hit the corner 3, and mixes in a floater as well.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1759732' first='Jose' last='Fudd']&nbsp;| 17U NOVA Cavaliers/Marshall (VA) '24</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Fudd did a bit of everything well for the Cavs today. He helped rebound, defended tenaciously, and filled the lanes correctly. Fudd also made key shots down the stretch. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2232427' first='Jeremiah' last='Hightower'] | 17U Shots Up/West Springfield&nbsp;(VA) '24</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Hightower is a junkyard dog who is very strong and relentless. He is a tremendous rebounder and finishes through contact with impressive consistency. Hightower is well-conditioned and doesn't take plays off while on the court. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Malachi Klock | 17U DMV Stags/Seneca Valley (MD) '24</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Klock can fill a role as a rebounder and a finisher. He is a physically gifted athlete who is usually available for a dump-off. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2232374' first='Cam' last='Love'] | 17U Shots Up/Fairfax&nbsp;(VA) '24</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Love is a natural shooter with a soft touch from 15 feet, but is also quite comfortable making shots from well behind the arc. He is a good athlete who is effective in transition. Love runs the floor and demonstrates sound fundamentals.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1489114' first='Ronier' last='Peters'] | 17U NOVA Cavs/Fairfax (VA) '24</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Peters simply plays a determined brand of basketball. Whatever it takes to win the game, he is willing to do. Peters impacted today's win as a defender, rebounder, and playmaker. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1489103' first='Grant' last='Polk']&nbsp;| 17U NOVA Cavs/Gainesville (VA) '24</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Polk connected on multiple jumpers from downtown in today's game. He showed that he can attack closeouts and pull up from mid-range. Polk also made plays defensively both on and off the ball. Polk's defensive posture was solid at the point of attack. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1956067' first='EJ' last='Schneeberg'] | 17U Shots Up/Potomac School (VA) '2</strong>5</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Schneeberg is a powerful guard who keeps his dribble alive, gets paint touches, and can finish thru contact. He also plays stingy on-ball defense. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
