The Prep Hoops Show Me Showdown featured a talented group of forwards and post players that we had the opportunity to watch over the weekend. This edition of “Game Changers” will put the spotlight on the talented bigs that were putting in work in Chesterfield, MO last weekend.
Trey’dez Green (LA Broncos 2024): The 6’8″ 2024 LSU basketball and football commit was individually the most dominant player at the event. And it wasn’t close. He was a force on the offensive boards with his athleticism and quick second jump around the basket. He is explosive player who attacks the basket and finishes strong in traffic. He has a nice touch around the basket with his jump hook and short jumper. He is also a good shot blocker who also runs the court in transition with ease.

Brock Camp Brock Camp 6'6" | PF HIckman | 2025 State MO (Gateway Basketball Club UAA-2025): The 6’6″ 235-pound 2025 forward was a big matchup problem with his size, strength and versatile skill set. He was overpowering defenders in the paint with physical post moves and a nice shooting touch inside. He also has an effective perimeter game with his ball handling skills and ability to take defenders off the dribble.

Joey Matteoni (Drive5 Elite 2024): A 6’8″ 2025 forward from Blue Valley Northwest (KS) who has the size and plays with a high motor, which makes him difficult to handle around the basket. He has a quick jump around the basket to grab offensive boards and get putbacks. His fundamentals are good as he keeps the ball high and he has sound footwork. He can score in the post with a nice jump hook and a turnaround jumper. He also runs the court well to get buckets in transition.

Nelson Shinkle Nelson Shinkle 6'8" | PF Jefferson City | 2024 State MO (Columbia Supreme): A 6’8″ 2024 forward from Jefferson City who had a strong weekend. He sits down in the low post well and he can score with either hand around the basket. He also has the ability to step out and knock down 3-pointers and score from the high post of the dribble drive. He is very productive when he asserts himself on the offensive end.

Ali Mbaye (Chicago Demons): A 6’8″ 2024 forward from Chicago De LaSalle who is active around the basket and he has some excellent fundamentals. He rebounds the ball very well as he grabs the ball at the high point of his jump. He finishes strong inside and goes through contact well. He runs the court very well in transition to get buckets on the break. He is also a factor defensively with his ability to block shots.

Quinn Sunderland Quinn Sunderland 6'10" | PF Lindbergh | 2024 State MO (Gateway Basketball Club UAA-2024): A 6’10” 2024 forward from Lindbergh who was one of the most impressive rim-protectors that we watched during the weekend. He has excellent length and timing to block shots without fouling. He has continued to improve his offensive game with a nice touch inside and an improve shooting stroke out to 15 feet.

Jacob Puljic (Arsenal Hoops Elite 2025): The 6’8″ 2026 forward from Rockwood Summit was playing up at the 16U level and more than holding his own inside. He is an impressive athlete with a lot of bounce around the basket. He can throw down dunks in traffic or alley-oop passes and he is also a good shot blocker. He is a capable scorer in the post and he also plays well in the pick-and-roll.

Ishmael Isidore Ishmael Isidore 6'7" | PF Gateway Science | 2026 State MO (Arsenal Hoops 15U-Jelks): A 6’7″ 2026 forward from Gateway Science who plays an old school power game around the basket. He loves to rebound, rebound and rebound some more. He attacks the boards with great tenacity and he will get out of his area. He knows how to take up space when he sits down in the low post and he will finish strong for buckets and conventional three-point play opportunities.
