SubscribeWI Playmakers UA is back on the circuit and better than ever. A top team in the Midwest with a core of players that has been on my radar for a while now are set to continue to leave their mark on the biggest grassroots circuit in the country.
I was granted the opportunity to catch up with Coach Jones to get a deeper dive into the make up of this team as well as ways for them to continue their success. Here’s what he had to say.
What are your thoughts on how your team has competed thus far in circuit season? How have you prepared?
“I would say fair, we compete and have won a lot of games, but we have room to improve. We practice weekly and have workouts to improve in areas that will help the players in games.”
Which Prep Hoops Next event are you looking forward to most and why?
“Well battle of the lakes was one of the events because we were defending champions for 2027.”
What are your team strengths and areas that could use improvements?
“We are athletic and very talented individuals. We have guys that sacrifice by scoring just 4-6 points a game when on any other team can easily score double digits. So our team plays for each other and is not selfish. We can definitely improve defensively.”

Who are your best returning players? Who are your best additions, if any?
Well all of the returning players are my best (Justin, Jordan, Ceaser and D’Anthony have been with the team since 4th grade, so you can say they are our veteran leaders) Kager, Kinston and Marion were great additions.
