This 15U group displayed some of the most intriguing talent of all age groups last weekend. There are a couple of names we’ve discussed before, but mostly a bunch of new ones to get to know. Here are some of the standout players in the 15U division.
Luke Unruh Luke Unruh 6'1" | SG Woodinville | 2026 State WA | Friends of Hoop | 2026
I first saw Unruh last summer and he caught my eye for his ability to shoot the rock. Getting reacquainted with him this past weekend, he was again one of the standout marksmen from the session. He has good height already at about 6-foot-2 and shows great confidence in his stroke from outside.
Talon Morrill | South Sound Roots | 2026
The 5-foot-9 point guard was a maestro as I watched his Roots squad take on one of the many Select Basketball teams from Idaho. He kept the offense on track, resetting possessions, avoiding pressure, and doing a great job of putting in timely buckets. He stroked a couple of 3-pointers from the corner, made a nice euro-step around the defending big, and overall was excellent getting to the middle of the D and making plays.
Keegan Bell | South Sound Roots | 2026
Bell was an active player for Roots, getting to the glass and putting up second-chance buckets. His aggression played on the boards and in his ability to get to the hoop, and he showed the IQ to find gaps in the defense with or without the ball.
Nolan Wright Nolan Wright 5'10" | PG Sehome | 2026 State WA | Team 360 Hoops | 2026
One of the most physically impressive players was Wright, who clocked in at 5-foot-9. His physicality comes from his lower body and his ability to stay on balance during the attack, using remarkable body control and decision-making. No one was stopping him from getting to the rim in his game against Renton Select, and Wright also showed a nice shooting stroke from outside.
Lucas Stevens | Yakima Flight | 2026
Another impressive young point guard, Stevens was excellent at moving without the ball, shooting off the catch, and off the dribble. He buried some tough shots over defenders with high-arcing shots and always looked in control, doing what he wanted with the ball.
Cameron Walls | Spokane Elite | 2027
Walls is a shifty little guard that handles the rock with ease. He’s quick, can get to the rim, and bursts up to finish at the cup. He’s a two-way guy, playing with intensity on the defensive end, and also can contribute by stretching the floor for his team.
Levi Orbino | Seattle Rotary | 2026
Orbino had great awareness with the ball in his hands. He’s able to get past defenders with a quick first move, keep them on his hip with his patient approach, and showed great poise under pressure.
Daniel Johnson | Seattle Rotary | 2026
The quick Rotary guard was one of the most active players I watched over the weekend. He played with great pace, attacked the gaps in the defense and made plays with the shot or the pass. He was able to balance his aggression with patience, picking and choosing the right spots to attack.
