Madden had himself a growth spur and he has also increased his athleticism as he is throwing it down with ease now. Handle is superior as he can go in, out, side to side and do it with quickness. He can get defenders out of position with quick moves. He gets out quickly like a wide receiver and finishes quickly. He has soft hands and he can launch from deep. He is turning into a household name out in Texas already. He is probably 6’0 right now.
Darius has an unreal bag. With the ability to finish on either side of the rim with either hand he is just gliding through the air at full-speed and he is hard to stop. He can put a player on skates with that side to side handle and he can thread a needle with the elite passing he possesses. Strength at the point of contact to get a shot up is something fun to watch as he can take the contact and finish.
This kid is going to stick around the top of the ranking nationally for a long time because he is a true PG and with guards having a lot of height now he is going to be able to get the ball to his dudes in pick n’ rolls or when he draws two and kicks or finds cutters attacking the rim and finishing lobs. He has a little bit of that CP3 style to his game as he can roam around the floor looking for opening and changing speeds. The California grown PG is super tough.
Rider has big game ability. He has that knack for hitting big shots as he has no fear. Rider plays with a lot of maturity and as a son of an NBA All-Star he seems to be finding his own identity. Shooting ability and jab game has really taken shape. It is impressive how he can use his jabs without a dribble and get space. You can tell he’s played a lot of one’s before. His age group continues to follow suit in what AZ Unity is building.
