SubscribeLooking ahead – we have a packed weekend (June 2nd – 4th) of talented teams competing at the Northstar Hoops Report State Tournament and there are many teams to keep on the radar. Below are some of the teams competing that have done well leading up to this event and feature multiple standout athletes.
On the 14U side keep PJ Hoops 2027 and ECI 2027 Kinnebrew on the radar – these two teams are in Pool A and will face off at 8:00 AM Saturday morning on Court 1. Look for 6’2 Gibson Kinnebrew of ECI to play a role inside the paint.
Two tough teams in Team Tyus 2027 Black squad and ECI 2027 Majkrzak will also face off at 8:00 AM Saturday morning on Court 3. Both of those teams are competing in Pool B.
Look for Pool I to make some noise this weekend as well – this pool features two well coaches programs in Minnesota Fury 2027 Goring and MN Lightning Holden 2027. Both teams have multiple athletes who could step up and make an impact. Those two teams will compete against each other Saturday at 8:00 AM on Court 8.
Don’t sleep on Illinois Warriors Elite who are poised to turn heads this weekend as they feature some studs who have shown skills on both ends of the floor. They feature Cincere Currie who’s game has consistently made an impact this spring. He’s a post threat and will be a difficult matchup against teams this weekend.
Jayden Anunda is another player to note – a two way athlete who is capable of playing above the rim and causing damage defensively for Minnesota Select.
Connor McDevitt of South Metro Elite is a “must-see” prospect. He’s a three level scorer who is extremely skilled offensively. Look for him to be the go to guy for his team this weekend.
Overall, the tournament is bound to be extremely competitive. Look for some close games, a lot of talent and a well earned Championship title come Sunday.
