This program is once again stacked with players that make it happen on the court in a variety of ways. Here is a list of some of Team New England Basketball Club hoopers that have made some noise during, both the high school season, and to start off the spring and summer.
Jaeden Roberts
Jaeden Roberts
Roberts is a talented guard that can score the ball in bunches. His lefthandedness makes him super crafty, while also having the ability to shoot consistently from outside. Roberts also has a quick first step which makes him extremely hard to guard and stay in front of. He had two games at HGSL session 1 where he had 35 points. During the high school season, Roberts was a key piece in Burke winning the Boston city championship.
Benjamin Ahmed
Benjamin Ahmed
Ahmed is a beast down low. He is a tenacious rebounder on both ends of the floor, and an excellent rim protector on defense. On offense, Ahmed displays great hands to go along with great finishing ability. He is not afraid to get physical down low, and can finish often through traffic, while being an excellent rebounder on both ends of the floor. He also gets up for dunks off the vert. Ahmed recently received an offer from Rutgers.
Ayles is a lethal shooter from downtown, especially off the catch. He can also create his own shot off the dribble with his ability to change speed and plays downhill. Ayles is also a lock down defender with the ability to guard multiple positions. He also has the ability to make plays to his teammates. Ayles’ range and ability to hit contested shots was on full display during the high school season for Brewster Academy.
Wilkins is the guard who was an excellent scoring option for Charlestown this season. He received MVP honors for the Christmas tournament that they attended. Wilkins has a knack for using his length on defense. He also can hit shots from downtown. Wilkins also plays with patience, and has the ability to read opposing defenses and pick them apart, displaying his high basketball IQ.
Andrews is a combo guard that can score the ball and bunches. He is a relentless finisher on the inside, and attacks the basket strongly. Andrews can also knockdown shots consistently from beyond the perimeter, and can stop on the dime and cash out from mid-range. During the high school season he had a 30 points game against Putnam Science. He also went off one game for 42 points , 6 rebounds , 4 assists, and 6 Steals for Notre Dame.
