The prospects in the building all had their minds set on showing just why they work so hard on their game. Each game had highlight worthy plays, and players looking to prove their team was worthy of a Championship Title. Although there can only be one champion, there was no shortage of intensity throughout the entire weekend in each division. This event is jam packed with known and soon to be known talent from all parts of Wisconsin. Here is my “Midwest Showdown” Two-Way Prospects.
Micheal Hill Jr – All Wisconsin
Hill was a rebound magnet over the weekend for All Wisconsin. His nose for the ball and lower center of gravity makes him hard to box out on both ends. Hill’s court vision and passing ability improved the pace for his team a great deal. Others played much better when he was on the floor by way of timely outlets passes and extended possession via offensive boards. Hill anchored both ends of the floor at the Midwest Showdown.
Javanni Blackman – Hoop Dreams
Blackman was a jack of all trades for Hoop Dreams. His versatility on the defensive end allowed him to guard one through five and make his mark in the rebound column as well. He was highly aware and proved to have next level decision making when picking his shots and creating for others. Blackman was a calming presence for Hoop Dreams and his understanding of how to play the right way was apparent.
Sam Robb Sam Robb 6'0" | SF De Pere | 2026 WI – All Wisconsin
Robb was a two-way player and an energy leader for All Wisconsin. His ability to stay in front of defenders was apparent, he has a knack for causing jump balls and taking players in the chest. The fleet footed guard also caused havoc on the offensive end with strong drives and soft floaters at the basket. Robb is a versatile prospect that impacts the game in many ways.
Steven Wright Steven Wright 5'10" | PG Shorewood | 2026 WI – ABC Lions
Wright had his hands in a multitude of plays over the weekend for ABC Lions. His ability to navigate with the ball and get to his spots was on display. Has good instincts when making plays for himself and others. More impressive was his energy on defense, steering opponents into bad situations. A burst of energy when on the floor, Wright left his mark on the game each time out.
Kayden Travis Kayden Travis 5'6" | PG West Allis Central | 2026 WI – Chapman Basketball Academy South
Travis plays with a great focus and toughness that was on full display in Appleton. He did a great job dealing with ball pressure and setting the table for CBA South. Most impressive was his foot speed and understanding of angles when on the ball. Travis plays with a great deal of heart when on the floor and leads by example.
