Today we look at some rising stars from the area.
Dywane Chess Dywane Chess 5'11" | SG Liberty-transferred | 2025 PA | 6’2″ | G | Bethlehem Liberty 2025
Liberty have always had some great guards over the years–That Packer kid from way back….Some guy named Hilliard…You know, two guys who did a thing or two in basketball…Chess is next in line among solid Liberty guards. A physical guard who can get through traffic and finish around the rim with either hand. He’s got a nice first step and good ballhandling skills. Gets out in transition well and draws contact to get to the line. He can shoot it from deep. He went over 20 on five occasions and could hit 1,000 by the end of his junior year. A top rising prospect in the region.
Blake Hargrove Blake Hargrove 6'0" | PG Liberty | 2026 State PA | 6’0″ | G | Bethlehem Liberty 2026
Hargrove burst on the scene as a confident guard right out the gate in his freshman season. A solid ball handler with good court vision, he provides Liberty with a multi-faceted scorer who can light it up from deep but also get into the paint. An active defender who creates turnovers and can get out and finish in transition. Part of a very talented trio of returnees in the Hurricanes backcourt. He had 20 vs Central Catholic and 17 vs Beca.
Jake Pukszyn | 6’2″ | G | Bethlehem Liberty 2026
Pukszyn, like Hargrove, came on right away as a freshman and is the third part of Liberty’s talented backcourt trio. A tough lefty who isn’t afraid of contact, Pukszyn can get it done from the perimeter but also get at the rim. Like Hargrove, he shows maturity and poise on the floor and is a good passer with a solid basketball IQ. He had 22 against Nazareth in just his second game.
Adrian Brito Adrian Brito 6'6" | PF Pocono Mountain West | 2025 State PA | 6’4″ | F | Pocono Mountain West 2025
Brito is a tough and physical presence in the post for PMW and is a smart shot blocker. He battles for position on the low block well and can get rebounds to create second chances on offense. He may project more as a 4 at the next level right now but with two more years to go, if he gets to 6’5″-6’6″ he should have colleges on his radar as a physical 4 or an option as a 5.
Jack Robertson Jack Robertson 6'0" | PG Saucon Valley | 2025 State PA | 5’11” | G | Saucon Valley 2025
Robertson is a tough guard who is effective getting out on the fast break and getting points for the Panthers. He can finish with both hands getting to the rim. He’s a confident ballhandler who is at his best when he can get into the open floor and get to the bucket. He was over 20 on three occasions and helped the Hellertown school to a fantastic 21-8 season. He should make a legitimate run at 1,000 points.
