Logan Schwarz (AEF Academy-1): The 6’4 power forward was dominant in his team’s early morning victory over the Gateway-Knights. He was tough to handle inside with his bull in a china shop style of play. He manhandled defenders for low post post for buckets and offensive rebounds for putbacks.
Anthony Nettles (Prolific Elite Black): A 5’11 point guard who scored 20 points in the final game that I watched on Sunday. The young man was a problem with his tremendous speed at both ends of the court. He was automatic in transition and very disruptive on defense on the full court press.
Noah Porter (LTD Select Blue): A 6’4 forward who played an effective all-around game. He scored the game-winning shot on an offensive putback at the buzzer in the game I watched. He was an excellent slasher who passed the ball very well. He was always in the right position on defense for a steal or a blocked shot.
Carter Peintner (Kansas Select): A 6’3 forward who scored 22 points in his team’s one point victory over Prolific Elite Black. He was extremely tough to stop around the basket as he was getting buckets on tough takes, offensive rebounds and transition layups. He was a very resourceful scorer who just got the job done in a very businesslike manner.
Will Beck (GABL Future 16U): A 6’5 forward who was very impressive in the game I watched in a win over the Missouri 66ers. He was a matchup problem as he could stretch the defense with his 3-point shooting, yet maneuver in the post with a variety of moves to score.
Brodie Mason (Hardwood Evolution): A 6’8 forward who is very long, very mobile and very active. He was steady around the basket offensively and he did a good job making his free throws. He was also a very effective rim protector.
