Anthony Nettles (Prolific Elite Black): A 6’0″ point guard from Colorado who was an excellent two-way guard with the speed and quickness to control a game. He averaged nearly 20 points a game during the weekend. He was very good in the transition game with his end to end speed. His dribble penetration led to layups and kick outs to open teammates and he can also hit the open -pointer.
Markeen Webb (Missouri 66ers): A 5’8″ point guard from Oklahoma who made a big impact on the court despite being one of the smallest players. He distributes the ball well, but he is a capable scorer from all three levels. He used his speed and quickness to break down defenders and get into the lane. He was also very good on the defensive end with his tenacious ball hawking.
Jai’Marion Cook (785 Athletics): A 5’8 point guard from Shawnee Heights (KS) who is a very impressive offensive player. He very was very good at playing at his own pace. If he wanted to play fast, it would be on his terms. He scored on a nice assortment of floaters, mid range jumpers and 3-pointers.
Anthony Dake (Gateway-Knights): A 5’10” point guard from Principia (MO) who has quickness and plenty of burst. He is a good on-ball defender who provides good pressure. He excelled in the transition game and he could stop and pop from 15 feet.
Trey Abara (AEF Academy-1): A 6’0″ point guard from Nebraska who was one of the most impressive passers that I watched during the event. His pass-first mentality was contagious as his team did a great job of sharing the ball throughout the weekend. He was constantly finding open teammates and even passing up his own good shot to someone who had a better shot.
Kaizer Kanitz (PGU Hoops): A 6’0” point guard who has a nice feel for the game. He displayed good court vision and a little wiggle when he looked to create off the dribble. He was constantly probing the defense for openings and he had an effective pull jumper.
