McGarry had a winning weekend with the North Oakland Wolfpack. He was consistently solid in multiple aspects of his game. At the Warriors Jamfest, McGarry had a highlight game with 18 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists. He also had 2 12 point games, both coming with a handful of assists and rebounds as well.
Vanlaningham has been getting more publicity over the last year, but honestly, he’s still probably underrated. He’s not just a shooter, but instead he proved again this weekend that he should be considered a true playmaker. Vanlaningham starred for Strictly Skills, averaging 17 points and 6 assists per game. I’d be shocked if some offers don’t come rolling in.
Jenkins is another player that could be considered as underrated. He showed off his next level quickness and explosiveness over the weekend. Jenkins has a fast first step that helps him put defenders in bad positions. Jenkins came away from the Warrior Classic with a C0-Tournament MVP.
Joey DeCasas
Joey DeCasas
DeCasas made a big statement for himself with the Goonies this weekend. The young man continues to prove that he can score consistently and at a high clip. He doesn’t need to be ball dominant or a high volume shooter to get his numbers. If DeCasas continues to play like this, he’ll have a very legitimate argument to be ranked at the next update.
I became a real believer in Murray’s game and skills at the Prep Hoops Michigan Freshman Showcase last year. He’s done nothing but affirm my belief ever since. Murray had a really good weekend with the GR Storm, hitting the 20 plus point mark twice and averaging over 17 a game. He’s an athletic downhill player that forces the defense to react.
