Continue ReadingIt’s crazy to think we have a player ranked #18 in the state and he has no offers at the end of his junior year but that won’t be the case for long. David Clark David Clark 6’7″ | PF Wheeler | 2024 State GA has all the tools you look for in a college forward, considered by many a 3-4 tweeter but able to play both extremely well. Clark carried a lot of the load at Campbell this year but he’s now showing with the Atlanta All-Stars that he can also be effective playing cohesively around other talent. David Clark David Clark 6’7″ | PF Wheeler | 2024 State GA could be one of the guys that we see blow up in June.
Jeremiah Heard has flown under the radar for far too long, a sturdy 6’9 center from Rome with a lot to like. Heard is a force in the paint, physical on the boards and an active rim protector. His hands and feet may be the most intriguing tools, coordination that you rarely see in guys that size. Heard doubles as a star on the gridiron and already holds an offer from Tennessee so it’ll be interesting to see which path he ultimately takes.
I’ve admired the full package that Julian Ormond Julian Ormond 6’5″ | SG Wheeler | 2024 State GA has to offer for a while and he’s now able to showcase that with OTP National this summer as one of the premier pieces. Ormond has the body to play at the college level right away, a 6’5 shooting guard with some muscle on the bones. Ormond is one of the better shooters in the class and can get hot from three in the blink of an eye. He impacts the game defensively as well, active in the passing lanes. Ormond could see recruitment heat up in coming months.

DJ Shine DJ Shine 6’1″ | PG Brewster Academy | 2024 State New E is without a doubt, one of Georgia’s top guard prospects but doesn’t get a lot of the love that the Atlanta guys do. He’s been burning defenses all spring, part of a deadly 3-guard trio for the Upward Stars with KJ Greene and Bryson Cokley. Shine’s shotmaking ability is rare, deadly from mid-range and beyond the arc. With Shine’s combination of talent and consistent production, I don’t see why he shouldn’t have offers by the end of the summer.

Toby Ojukwu Toby Ojukwu 6’2″ | PG Norcross | 2024 State GA has been steadily building buzz around the state after moving down from Philadelphia last summer. Ojukwu was a vital piece for 7A powerhouse Norcross in the winter and is now carving up the spring circuit with the Atlanta Xpress. He’s a skilled ball-handler and crafty finisher but what really separates him is the mental part of the game. Ojukwu is strategic and methodical in the way he attacks and toys with defenses. If I were a LM/D2 program in search of a floor general, I’d take a hard look at Toby Ojukwu Toby Ojukwu 6’2″ | PG Norcross | 2024 State GA .
