On April 8th I attended the Arizona Club Basketball League or ACBL ran by local club coach Kenny Mullins. I watched 5 games with 9 different teams.

Here were the 2025 standouts

[player_tooltip player_id='1490908' first='Bobby' last='Rodriquez'] NVCA (AZ Grind 16)

A natural scoring lead guard can hit the catch three, pull-up from mid-range and make tough off the dribble shots in transition. He is a good passer in transition and he has a sharp pull-up with confidence.

[player_tooltip player_id='1425099' first='Kaleel' last='Kelly'] Willow Canyon (Factory 17)

A rare old school pure point guard. He has a powerfully built frame who uses it to get into the teeth of the defense and can score on contested layups plus use the floater game. His court vision is next level stuff.

[player_tooltip player_id='1371095' first='Noah' last='Oliver'] Canyon View (AZ Venom 16)

A well built combo guard can hit the catch three and get to the basket with his thicker frame. He has a tighter handle and he is not afraid of contact. He rebounds well in his area for position and he can be a physical on-ball defender.

[player_tooltip player_id='1150852' first='DeNali' last='McNeal'] Canyon View (AZ Venom 16)

A gifted combo guard is very calm and confident with his moves. He can score on mid-range jumpers off the dribble, post up and fall-away plus smartly moves without the ball for sharp cuts and back door layups. He rebounded well for a guard and he threaded the needle a couple of times to a cutter. He can power up and score in traffic among the post players.

[player_tooltip player_id='1911511' first='Gus' last='Cardon'] Gilbert (AZ Prime 16)

A scoring point guard can score it many ways. He can pull-up from mid-range and uses the runner. He can rattle in threes one by one. He has a shifty handle and his euro game is on point. He is a good passer up the court and moves without the ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1336442' first='Zane' last='Gaul'] Prescott (Factory 16)

A legit sized post player is a high level rugged rebounder. He takes up a lot of space and throws his size and weight around to corral the board. He is also a quick second jumper to rebound. He will score in the paint with put backs and a rip thru. He will also step out and hit the three unlike many centers.

[player_tooltip player_id='1336443' first='Uriah' last='Tenette'] Prescott (Factory 16) (Pictured)

A highly skilled point guard with incredible athleticism. Not only is he fast but he is very fast with the ball in his hands. His floater game is polished and his burst and athleticism is next level stuff. Lastly, his pull-up off the dribble with his super tight handle is nasty.

[player_tooltip player_id='1425690' first='Damian' last='Castro'] Canyon View (AZ Venom 16)

A scoring point guard is fast in the open court. He can jet through the open hole very quickly with his tight handle and burst and score in the lane with traffic around him. He plays fast and reacts quickly in the open court.

[player_tooltip player_id='1042714' first='Archie' last='Graves IV'] Central (Factory 16)

A good showing for Archie. He was a ball hawk as he was too quick and strong and as he was ripping pockets of his opponents effortlessly. He is a flashy passer who scores thru contact with difficult contested shots. His transition game is so easy for him to get to the basket to score with his strong body and frame and has a nice floater game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1430449' first='James' last='Steward'] Marcos de Niza (Factory 16)

A power forward who is a long athlete. He is a strong two-handed rebounder and tracks the ball well to block shots. He dunks it easily and will grab offensive rebounds and will keep the ball high for put backs. His activity around the rim helps the Factory team.

[player_tooltip player_id='1567096' first='Tayson' last='Stosich'] Queen Creek (AZ Grind 16)

A scoring guard with size is a deep shooter who can create his own offense off the dribble. He can rise up from mid-range and create the proper separation from his defender to get a clean look. Once the first goes in, he can get hot and has real range.

On April 8th I attended the Arizona Club Basketball League or ACBL ran by local club coach Kenny Mullins. I watched 5 games with 9 different teams.
