Purvis brings impactful shotmaking and dependable perimeter defense, likely stepping into an extended role next season with Fossil Ridge. The 6’2 guard enjoys changing the pace while in the halfcourt, often hesitating before exploding downhill past his defender. When left open, he is a knockdown shooter off the catch or when stepping off of the screen for a mid-range pull-up. As one of the handful of non-seniors is Fossil Ridge’s varsity depth chart, trust that Purvis will take on a large opportunity with the new look group next season.
Paul Grier Paul Grier 6'0" | SG Pine Creek | 2024 State CO – Pine Creek – Colorado Miners CS – 2024
Grier brings a team first mindset first and foremost, seeking out scoring opportunities within a fast paced environment. The junior guard has shown value pushing the pace in the fullcourt, seeking outlet passes to find easy looks for teammates. Rarely forcing shot attempts, the guard is also a dependable floor spacer off the catch, maximizing what the defense allows from him. Through his junior season with 16-8 Pine Creek, Grier has posted 6.1 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 2.3 assists per game.
Jordan Leslie Jordan Leslie 6'0" | PG Mullen | 2024 State CO – PLUTO Prospects – Mullen – 2024
Leslie is a streamlined guard who is a knockdown shooter and composed lead ball handler. At roughly 6′ tall, Leslie is certainly strong for his position, more than capable of bumping around opposing defenders on drives. Due to his quick feet and mobile strength, Leslie is a valuable point of attack defender who makes an impact versus both backcourt positions. Thanks to his strong frame, the junior maximizes his low center of gravity, not moved around easily by opposing perimeter scorers. On the opposite end of the floor, Leslie is a knockdown shooter from beyond the arc, typically getting those looks off the catch. Should the defense overplay the perimeter, trust that Leslie will get downhill with authority, even contributing on tough attempts at the basket. There are few guards in that 2024 class within the state who have his body control, showcasing mid-air readjustments and contorting his body to finish around contests. THrough his past season with Mullen, the lead guard posted 22.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 6.9 assists, 4.6 steals and 1.1 blocks per game.
Dallin McQuigg Dallin McQuigg 6'4" | SG Douglas County | 2024 State CO – Douglas County – Colorado United – 2024
McQuigg is a sturdy 6’3 shooting guard who maximizes his size on the boards and defensive end. Through his spring, the junior has showcased efficient shooting beyond the three point line, complemented by a quick release. Although McQuigg is much more than just a shooter, possessing above average strength for his position. He does well helping onto opposing shot creators, either stunting drives or swatting away shot attempts. His defensive anticipation is highly practical, rotating early and converting those situations into steals. His robust frame has aided in his rebounding efforts, proving capable of moving opposing backcourt opponents and smaller forwards out of the way on box outs. Look for McQuigg this season at Douglas County, following the departure of four seniors.
