Point guards usually have a high basketball IQ and are counted on by their coach to execute the game plan and set their teammates up with timely passes. They are decision makers or the often-used slang “HEAD OF THE SNAKE” that orchestrates what the coach wants them to do on the floor. The young men in this article are no exception. They will come into their senior season looking to lead their respective teams to successful seasons in 2023/2024.

Tyler Barnhouse is a agile and quick point guard from Huntington High School. Barnhouse comes into the 2023/2024 season as the 7th ranked senior point guard in the state of West Virginia. Barnhouse is a heady player that can create with his dribble and assist at a high level. In 19 games, Barnhouse totaled 67 assists. In those 19 games, he averaged 3.5 assists per game. Barnhouse comes into next season looking to improve his numbers and lead Huntington High School on the court in the 2023/2024 season.

Collins comes into the 2023/2024 season looking to up his per game totals and have a successful senior season for Nicholas County High School.

Eli Campbell Eli Campbell 6’0″ | CG Midland Trail | 2024 State WV is an intelligent and creative point guard for Midland Trail High School. Campbell has a quick first step. He uses his dribble drive to penetrate the hole and finish at the rim or draw the defense and kick it to the open man. Campbell is the 11th ranked senior point guard in the state of West Virginia. In his junior season, Campbell totaled 75 assists for a per game average of 3.3 assists per game. Campbell comes into his senior season looking to improve his strong numbers and lead Midland Trail on the court in 2023/2024.
