5. [player_tooltip player_id='1208047' first='Nick' last='Sanchez'] - Artesia High School (#17 Overall)

Sanchez finished his career with Artesia as one of the most accomplished players in school history, and his resume stands out. This year, he earned both 4A All-Regular Season 2nd Team and 4A All-Tournament 2nd Team Honors, putting up 20.5 PPG and 5.5 APG in the playoffs, and was one of the top candidates for 4A Player of the Year while winning 4A District 4 MVP. He joined the 1,000-point club this year as well, solidifying himself in New Mexico basketball history, and was crowned 3A/4A All-Star Game MVP for his performance in the game. Sanchez is an explosive guard who is ultra-creative off the dribble, creating for himself and for teammates at all times. He has a lethal jump shot which he isn't afraid to shoot from anywhere on the court and makes at a high rate. Sanchez recently committed to the University of the Southwest in Hobb, New Mexico, meaning he'll have a chance to continue his prestigious athletic career with the Mustangs.

4. [player_tooltip player_id='1076722' first='Chris' last='Parra'] - Atrisco Heritage High School (#14 Overall)

Parra has been known throughout his high school career as a sharpshooter, and he consistently embodied that role. Splitting time between point guard and shooting guard for this Jaguars team, he's become well-renowned for his shooting abilities and has the respect of every defense he faces. His stats aren't available, but the eye test can tell you everything you need to know about his game. He's a silky smooth player who glides around the court, and is always ready to shoot, his bread-and-butter being the pull-up jumper. Parra plays with a supreme confidence that rubs off on the rest of his team and is a great leader. He earned 5A All-Star and 5A All-Tournament 3rd Team honors this season to cap off a great high school career for Parra. I'm unaware of if he has any college offers, but he'd be a great sharpshooting addition to any team he ends up joining.

3. [player_tooltip player_id='1485758' first='Alexis' last='Dominguez'] - Highland High School (#13 Overall)

One of the best shooters in New Mexico, Dominguez has been an integral part of Highland's basketball program for all 4 years of his career. He had no better individual season than his senior year, however, averaging 18.2 PPG, 4.3 RPG. 3.5 APG, and 1.8 SPG. Dominguez perfectly profiles a 3-and-D player, shooting 37% from three, and he is one of the best on-ball defenders in the state. He also gets to the free throw line consistently, shooting a high percentage at 81%. Dominguez is a natural-born leader who can uplift his team just with his presence on the court and will be able to translate his skills at the college level. Whether he decides to play at the college level or not (he holds one offer as far as I know), Dominguez has the potential to become a solid player for any college that decides to offer him.

2. [player_tooltip player_id='1301617' first='Adam' last='Montoya'] - St Michaels High School (#9 Overall)

Montoya is easily one of the most exciting players in New Mexico and one of the best players in his school's history. Even while playing at the 3A level, Montoya is one of the best guards in the state, with possibly the best mid-range jumper. His stats aren't uploaded, but his season was highlighted with a 48-point game against Albuquerque High School in a 2-OT win 65-60, and a 24-point 5-steal game in the 3A State semifinals against Sandia Prep. His high volume scoring led to him to a spot in the 3A/4A All-Star Game, and he will go down as one of the best players in his school's history. Montoya currently holds multiple offers from various JUCO and NAIA schools, as well as Division 2 interest. He hasn't committed anywhere as of yet, but he will certainly prove valuable to any school he decides to attend.

1. [player_tooltip player_id='1076702' first='Shane' last='Douma-Sanchez'] - Del Norte High School (#1 Overall)

Douma-Sanchez's resume will sit among the greatest in New Mexico basketball history. He has played high-level basketball since his freshman year, and his senior year exemplified the type of player he is. Douma-Sanchez averaged some ridiculous numbers this year, putting up a whopping 32.5 PPG, which was the 20th highest points per game average in the country, 9.0 RPG (10th in state), 5.1 APG (tied for 1st in state), and 2.2 SPG. He accomplished this on 44/37/83 splits, and led his team to a spot in the 4A playoffs, while also earning 4A Player of the Year and 4A All-Regular Season First Team honors. No individual performance from anyone this season was better than his performance on January 3rd of this year, where he put up an incredible 60 points against Eldorado High School, along with 8 rebounds and 3 steals. This was the 3rd highest individual scoring game in the country this year. He ends his great high school career with his recent commitment to the University of New Mexico.
