#PrepHoopsLive: Saturday Afternoon Top Performers
In this article:
Players that stood out at Prep Hoops Live Saturday afternoon? We have a big list!
Aguek Aguek of Minnesota Takeoff 15u (6’5 2026 wing from Rochester Century). Aguek is a very long wing that had 33 points for Minnesota Takeoff ECI this morning. Aguek has a good touch and he used that touch to score over the top with the jumper or extending around help at the rim. This is a player that looks very young and is just starting to develop. He looks like he could grow several more inches. (6’1 2024 guard from
Abe Anderson of Starks Elite (5’9 2025 PG from Minneapolis Southwest). Abe is a kid that can get his shot up from a deep range or with any corner turn off a screen. He’s a gym rat with an amazing touch that knows his value is the touch and today he used that touch to hit five threes as well as a late touch in bucket in the paint. Scored 23 points against maybe the quickest team in the event.
Charlie Birk Charlie Birk 6'6" | PF Eagan | 2024 State MN of WOTN (6’5 forward from Eagan). Birk is a name that continues to gather steam. College coaches are coming around, a few D2s are learning the name and they are seeing a long frame that moves well and can play either forward spot. Birk hit four threes scoring 16 points in a win over NoCo Elite today and continues to add intrigue.
Camron Brown of Texas Impact AE (5’11 2024 point guard Little Elm). Everything Brown did was getting to space with quickness including his push up the floor and his quick dribble into a pull-up. Both of those situations led to Brown hitting five of his six three point attempts plus four assists for his team. Scored 17 and continues to be a consistent shooter behind the arc dating back through the high school season.
Jaiden Holloman Jaiden Holloman 5'9" | PG Bishop Ludden | 2025 State #293 Nation NY of NEBC (5’8 2025 point guard from Syracuse, NY). Jaiden has to be the quickest player in this event. His rapid push up the floor was nearly impossible for his opponents to retreat to. Teams could not sprint back and turn to him because he was at top speed to finish so if a guy turned, he was stuck. If the player ran with he may have had a chance to contest but Holloman is so crafty he lifted to finish over the top. He scored ten field goals at the rim the game I watched.
Gregory Pittner of Chapman Basketball Academy (6’4 2024 guard of Sheyboygan North HS, Wisconsin). Pittner hit ten threes scoring 32 points leading his team to a 110-75 win over AUSA Australia Ed. This is a player that just seems ready to burst in terms of moving to a next level of production. A guy ready to move from decent reserve to relied on shooter playing good minutes. Summers is a 245 pound lefty with way more skill than guys were prepared for. Away from the basket too. Great handles for his size and great footwork.
Grant Ryan Grant Ryan 6'6" | SG Lakeville North | 2024 State MN of Minnesota Select Fuerte (6’5 wing of Lakeville North). North is one of those programs that just continues to produce players out of nowhere entering their seniors years and Grant can be added to that list. He hit EIGHT threes to lift his team to a win over Sanford Sports leading to a 24 point game.
