As always, the event was loaded with teams and prospects from all over the country, and the baselines were packed with college coaches from all over the country as well.
We’ll be breaking down some of the standouts from all over the Prep Hoops Networks, looking here at part two some of the prospects from teams from PA.
Aasim Burton Aasim Burton 6'3" | CG Cardinal O'Hara | 2024 State PA | 6’3” PG | East Coast Power 17U
“Flash” was fantastic this weekend and he had college coaches following him as ECP made a run to the semifinals before falling to Mass Rivals. When it comes to a D1 point guard, Burton has a lot of the tools you look for and he is a difference maker on both ends of the floor. He has good positional size and speed in the open floor, he can create for himself and others off the bounce, he makes shots from all over and he plays with a competitive chip too.
Andrew Phillips Andrew Phillips 6'3" | SF Malvern Prep | 2023 State PA | 6’6” PF | East Coast Power 17U
Phillips was one of a number of talented available players in the event, and he was one of the most productive players as well. At 6’6” he may be a little undersized and isn’t the most athletic guy, but he made up for it with his high motor, skillset and knack for being around the ball. In the paint he showed soft touch and hit the offensive glass hard, he stepped out where he stretched the defense with his ability to shoot it at a high clip from deep and he showed good instincts and fundamentals guarding in the post.
Nyle Ralph-Beyer Nyle Ralph-Beyer 6'4" | SG West Chester Henderson | 2024 State PA | 6’4” | CG | East Coast Power 17U
Ralph-Beyer was another impressive prospect for this ECP group, as the 6’4” combo was productive and efficient while showing a lot of tools that translate to the next level. He played both on and off the basketball, breaking down defenders to make plays and moving well off the ball to get open for shots from deep. He has long arms and a frame that should fill out, he brings it on both ends and he consistently made winning plays for his group.
Fazi Oshodi | 6’3” WG | East Coast Power 17U
Oshodi is a new addition to this ECP team this year, and he is another division one prospect that coaches were following this team for. Perhaps more than anyone on this group, Oshodi looks the part as he has broad shoulder, long arms and is a fluid athlete who moves well both getting up and down and laterally. He shot the ball well off the catch from deep, he’s a good rebounder for his position and he can attack off the bounce where he’s a good finisher in traffic too.
Sebastian Edwards | 6’5” WF | East Coast Power 16U
Edwards was huge for ECP on their run to the 16U championship, as he went for 17 points in their win and was huge down the stretch for them. The 6’5” wing uses his size and strength to get downhill and finish at the rim, he runs in transition with his guards and he’s a very good rebounder for his position. He worked the midrange well and will only get better as he continues to develop moving forward.
Luke Kennevan | 6’3” WG | East Coast Power 16U
Kennevan was also big for ECP in their championship win, going for a game high 21 points and showing his ability to work to get open and make shots from all over. He isn’t the most athletic guy but he has good shift to get to spots with the ball in his hands, and he’s excellent at reading screens off the ball and getting his feet right to get into shots on the move. He scored it well from deep and in the midrange, and was patient and didn’t take bad shots despite having the hot hand.
Kareem Thomas | 6’4” WF | WeR1 HGSL 17U
Thomas is part of a trio of talented Salesanium (DE) players on this team, and when I watched he was the most active and productive one of the group. The 6’4” wing used his strength around the rim to clear out space, he showed good pop and athleticism when he got downhill and finished above the rim and he showed the ability to make difficult shots from multiple levels. He was productive and impacted winning on both ends of the floor.
Zion Moore Zion Moore 6'2" | SF Bellevernon | 2025 State PA | 6’3” WG | Rytes Warriors 17U ‘25
Moore had one of the best games when I ventured from the main courts, as the 2025 wing who was playing up showed his ability to fill it up in bunches. At 6’3” he’s a strong kid who attacks the rim and finishes through traffic, he showed effortless range from deep and he showed the ability to bring the ball up the court and run the pick-and-roll as well. The fact that he was doing all this playing up against a very good 17U team made it even that more impressive.
