He went for 22pts in the first game of the night and was very impressive with his ability to draw fouls and get to the line. He has good length and size for a shooting guard, a nice skillset, and good basketball instincts. He is a player that, as a coach, you want to get him touches because he makes the game easier for all around him as he occupies ten eyes at all times. It takes more than just one defender to contain Oliver, as his scoring prowess can be overwhelming for just one player to be committed to such a daunting task of trying to slow him down. I was very impressed with his play on the offensive end of the floor, and he should be a stock riser the last two seasons of his high school career.

[player_tooltip player_id='1578683' first='Clay' last='Payne'] (6'6/SF/'25/Big 6 Elite)

Instagram: claypayne34

Twitter: @clarencerpayne4

Clay was one of the best players I saw in the few hours of day one. I actually had scheduled to go and see another team play, and the Big 6 coach stopped me and said you don't want to miss this next game, he was very convincing, so I stayed and watched his squad, and they did not disappoint. They were loaded with talent, but Clay was the most dominant of them in all in this game. He is a wing with good positional size and is a versatile nightmare match-up. He produces on the perimeter as he can initiate the offense, is a playmaker off the bounce, can score it extremely well getting downhill off the bounce, has very good vision and passing ability, and can punish defenders on the low block. He is a gifted scorer but has the skillset to offer something different every time he touches the rock. Defensively, he showed his ability to defend in space and protected the rim with his shot-blocking ability. He made a statement on day one that I look to see if he can continue throughout day two.

[player_tooltip player_id='2410492' first='Brody' last='Reasonover'] (5'11/CG/'25/Stars Basketball Club North '25)

Instagram: brody.w3

Twitter: @brodyreasonov3r

Brody's squad plays a unique brand of basketball, and they often use the platoon sub-system. Everyone has their opinion on that, but it seems to work with this squad. Brody found himself playing both the lead guard and off-guard position, and his production never slipped when he shifted from one to the other throughout the course of the game. He can score the ball from multiple levels, has a good shot selection, and is very efficient from the field. He has solid driving ability, which compliments his ability to knock the 3pt-shot. He plays with his head up, keeps the ball moving, and shows an overall nice feel for the game. Brody is not one of the primary options on his squad, but he is a valuable piece that can provide so much from the guard position, as he showed on day one.

Davon Marin (6'1/SF/'25/Clarksville Crossovers '25)

Instagram: von.gocr8zy

Twitter: @931_Made_Von

Davon brought a high level of energy and effort from the tip and kept it throughout the entire game I watched his squad play. He is a high-volume shot taker that impacts the game with his constant play of looking for ways to attack the defense. He scored in transition, on put-backs off the offensive glass, by winning 50/50 balls, and off the bounce, and basically, he had the mindset that he would not be denied. He does a lot of dirty work, which leads to a lot of his production on offense. He doesn't give up on plays; if I had to sum it up, he just played harder than the other nine players on the court most of the time. He is a two-way player that was impactful on both ends and even though he is a listed 6'1 small forward, he was impactful playing the 1 thru 4. He showed a lot of toughness and grit and is definitely the alpha male on his squad.

Micah Dawkins (6'5/CG/'25/Team Clutch 2025)

Instagram: Mike_wrld_11

Twitter: @Micah Dawkins/@Mike_Wrld11

The first thing I noticed about Micah was his size and length. He was very active early on the glass and got his team out in transition. He can handle the rock but still needs to tighten up in that area, but he controls the rock enough to get to his spots on the court, particularly the paint. With his size, when he gets two feet in the paint, he does a good job in getting his shot attempts as well as finding open teammates. I liked the promise that is there with Micah, but if there was one knock or an area to improve, it would be his motor. He didn't play hard consistently throughout the contest. He has all the physical tools, and if he ever decides to put the pedal to the floor, his game can definitely take another jump.

[player_tooltip player_id='2417765' first='Kevin' last='Spivey'] (6'3/F/'25/BTB XXV)

Instagram: Kspiveyy9

Twitter: @Kevinspiveyy

Kevin is a high-energy and effort guy that showed a lot of skills. One play stood out for me as I watched him play, and that was when his team was out in transition, and he was running the floor, and his teammate gave him a pass which he caught with one hand on the run and finished at the cup. Prior to that, he was just going about his business and impacting the game in all areas of the stat sheet, particularly on the glass and on the defensive end of the floor. Kevin plays with a combination of power and strength and uses both to finish plays in the paint. He made his presence felt on both ends of the floor as offensively, he was a force on the glass with numerous put-backs, and defensively, he defended with intensity. With his BTB XXV squad, his post-defense and offensive blue-collar mindset to do whatever it takes for his squad to win is a highly valuable piece to their success.

[player_tooltip player_id='2367419' first='Davis' last='Joyner'] (6'3/SF/'25/Stars Basketball Club Premier '25)

Instagram: Iamdavisjoyner

Davis had a slow start when it came to scoring but woke up in the 2nd half and paced his team in a come-from-behind victory. His scoring helped his squad get control of the game in the second half and led his team to an impressive day-one victory. He is a versatile scorer that can get it done at all levels. He is a heady player that knows how to contribute to winning. He flew under the radar in the first half, but when he got going, he consistently played hard and showed his impact on both ends of the floor. He was a real technician in the second half and put together a performance that was clearly seen across the entire stat sheet.
