Camden Cerese Camden Cerese 6'2" | PG Lake Park | 2024 State IL (Lake Park)
Cerese jumped on our radar with a 29 point performance against Conant. Creative handles getting to the cup including going coast to coast. Crisp pull up jumper that he can hit from two and three. Zip on his passes in the half court and dishes it with either hand.
Navontae Nesbit Navontae Nesbit 5'11" | PG Mt. Vernon | 2024 State IL (Mt. Vernon)
The 5’11” junior point guard is a compactly built guard with speed and athleticism. The majority of his game is getting downhill and attacking the cup for euro steps, floaters, and acrobatic layups. Jumper needs to show growth but made an impression at the Salem Invitational.
Artavious Smith (Peoria Richwoods)
We saw Richwoods twice in the state tournament and Smith impressed both times. The 6’1” point guard is a slick ball handler that proved he could create off the bounce for himself and others. Got in the lane for kicks and dump off passes. Also is a sound three point shooter off the catch.
Decarl Payne Decarl Payne 6'2" | SG Carbondale | 2024 State IL (Carbondale)
Payne is a scoring guard from the 618 that at 6’0” proved he could score from multiple levels. Bucket getter was the go to scorer for the Terriers when we saw them at the SIT.
Chase Abraham (TF North)
This 6’0” combo is a thin and wiry guard that is excellent shooting it from distance, pushes in open floor, and has a nice float game. Look for him to be TF North’s go to player next season.
Kerr Bauman Kerr Bauman 6'2" | SG Pontiac | 2024 IL (Pontiac)
Bauman is a skilled shooting guard that an win off the bounce, get to the line, and finish on straight line takes. Made an impression for Pontiac during their run to the Elite 8!
PJ Chambers (DePaul Prep)
The 6’2” shooting guard is a lefty that has nice size at 6’2” with scoring pop. Floater game, capable spot up shooter, and can take it off the defensive glass end to end. He was a key complimentary player for the Rams in their state title run.
Miles Ntekop (Mascoutah)
Ntekop is a big bodied and undersized five man that has a nice low post game when we saw him at the Pinckneyville Shootout. Carved out space inside for deep post position and seals. Touch and feel scoring on the block.
