Christian Williams
Christian Williams was a very fascinating player to watch, made the game look way easier than it should, this kid was capable of doing any and everything whenever he pleased and it constantly blew me away. His phenomenal all-around skillset, cerebral instincts, and feel for the game as a whole is what made him the most reliable player on the floor in any situation. Williams impacted the offensive end as bonafide three level bucket getter with an outstanding shot making prowess when contested and in space. The 6-foot-1 guard easily created looks for himself before finishing with his pure and fluid jumpshot, if he spotted an opening, there was no hesitation, the shot was going up. Not only did Christian Williams help lead College Bound Elite to a 5-0 record throughout the weekend but he also rose to the occasion in the the championship round where he took matters into his own hands late during the second half by closing the game out with his scoring abilities in transition, finishing with a game high 17 points with 10 coming in the final half of play. The 2027 prospect was silent but deadly with great composure and high confidence. Williams may not say a whole lot on the court but he definitely makes his presence felt each and every game.
Archie Weatherspoon V
Archie Weatherspoon V
Weatherspoon’s high basketball IQ, court awareness, and vision allowed Archie to sees the floor and run the show the way a true point guard should. The College Bound Elite lead guard was a great decision maker with the ball in his hands whether it was a pass or a shot he consistently made the correct read. Fastbreak and transition starter due to his effort on the boards, grabbed it and pushed down the floor, always looking to pass the ball ahead where he seemed to be precise as he hit his teammate accurately in stride. Archie Weatherspoon also displayed a crazy ability to change gears and stop on a dime. When touching the paint, Weatherspoon showed off his knack for changing his pace and suckering the helpside defense in before dishing the ball out to an open shooter in the corner or back door cutter. When it came to getting a bucket Archie was just as dynamic of a scorer as he was as a distributor. His finishing instincts and a crafty layup package was incredible, Weatherspoon’s ability to adjust his himself midair made it difficult for some of the best rim protectors to block or alter his shot. The name Archie Weatherspoon V is name that will be buzzing through the nation throughout his high school career, this floor general is the straw that stirs the drink and it showed all weekend as he set the tone game after game.
Amarion Hunter
Amarion Hunter
Not only was Amarion Hunter the top mid-range and three-point jumpshooter of the weekend but he was also the most consistent of them all. Hunter demoralized his opponents with his lights out shooting stroke, anytime he was allowed to catch the ball with his feet set he knocked the shot down. Good footwork off the ball, Hunter ran the baseline knowing the ball was coming his way and set his feet with a nice one-two step that led him directly into his shooting motion. When it came to getting to his sweet spots and finding a shot, Hunter was the best at his position to do it. This lead guard looks as if he’s becoming a master of the one dribble pull-up, all he needed was the slightest bit of space and he was putting it up. He didn’t neglect the mid range game either, Hunter was capable of getting most of his jumpers off the dribbles inside the arc. whenever he found a flaw in the defense he took full advantage of it until someone stopped it. In the championship game, Amarion Hunter’s shot making from outside in transition ignited a fire inside his team and after drilling back to back deep pull-ups his teammates translated that energy to the defensive end in a fight for a comeback.
