The weekend of March 24th I attended the Hoopers On1y Kings of the City at the Phhacility and the Kroc Center plus five different other locations around the city in AZ.

I watched a lot of 15 and 16U with some 17U games as well. This was one of the biggest events AZ has had in a while with 400+ teams from the Southwest.

Here are some of the Top Sophomore guards that I didn't previously mention

[player_tooltip player_id='1366585' first='Makai' last='Frazier-Taylor'] Hamilton (AZ Gremlins) (Pictured)

A scoring combo guard is a fierce on-ball defender. The lefty has a stronger upper body to score consistently in the paint. He can rise up and hit the three and is very good from mid-range. He should be a force to deal with for the Huskies.

[player_tooltip player_id='1633022' first='Charles' last='Cobbs'] Chandler (Gremlins)

A three level scoring point guard handles pressure well. He can use the floater once he bursts into the lane plus hits the three point shot off the catch. He will pull-up from mid-range off the dribble and make plays for his teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='1369217' first='Donovan' last='Dabney'] Higley (Swish 365)

A big sized point guard looks like he grew a legit three inches. He often cuts and moves without the ball plus can shoot it consistently from mid to the three. His size now allows him to crash the glass more and get some cheap inside points.

[player_tooltip player_id='1369218' first='Gavin' last='Dabney'] Higley (Swish 365)

Donovan's twin brother is no slouch. He actually grew nearly four inches and can now post up, rebound better and still shoot the three. He rebounds well with his size and is a good passer and plays an unselfish brand of ball.

[player_tooltip player_id='1876366' first='Memphis' last='Noble'] Phhoenix Prep (AZ Select Craig)

A fast combo guard flies on the break. He is very active on both ends of the court. Once he gets a step on his defender, he will quickly get to the basket and score around traffic. His track-like speed allows him to not get caught on the break.

[player_tooltip player_id='1876368' first='Eddie' last='Youngson'] Mountain Pointe (UH Elite)

A scoring guard who is a classic catch and shoot three point shooter. He can drive by and use the runner and rebounds well for a guard and will score on put backs. The lefty really wants to sling it from the arc and has a nice compact stroke.

[player_tooltip player_id='1876367' first='Tyree' last='Winston'] AZ Compass Prep (UH Elite)

Another very fast combo guard can score it a few different ways. He will drive it and use the floater with his very quick first step. He rises high up from mid-range and is a blur in the open court.

[player_tooltip player_id='1580567' first='Oshea' last='Bonner'] Saguaro (UH Elite)

A fast defensive undersized point guard. He has very good lateral quickness with his corner back type of speed. He is a sneaky good passer and will get downhill and score thru contact with his stronger upper body.
